Thankfully they have made it very easy to do everything at home now. I use stamps.com, priority boxes and front door pickup so I only have to set foot in an actual post office 2-3 times a year at the most. Meanwhile I ship/receive 40-50 packages a month.

I print usps flat rate labels with usps.com, and I can do 1st class through PayPal. Otherwise I use the 24/hr kiosk quite a bit.

This. I go to the post office once in a while to stock up on priority boxes. Typically i drop packages in the rotary drop box just so I know they're in the hands of the post office. I have 2 24hr post office buildings in a 5 mile radius so it's not a big deal.

When I have to stand in line to have a person assist with a 20 second interaction, it usually takes 10 minutes +.

I usually use the kiosk to get shipping labels for priority packages. Past couple of times I've shipped first class and had to wait 45min to an hr in line. I've used pay pal in the past to pay and print shipping labels. If it wasn't gifted.

Stamps.com is the ultimate service. It costs $15/month but is worth every penny, even for the small volume I deal with. The interface is dead simple and it gives you every USPS shipping option available where paypal only gives you 4 or 5.

They offer a free trial period for anyone interested but I warn you now, it's so simple, you won't likely go back.

Put off getting a new phone for like 3 years, the sole reason being that I HATE going to the Verizon store even for ten minutes. So I finally break down and decide its time for an upgrade 3 days ago. I purchase an Iphone 6 and get it home only to find that anytime I make a call I get random high pitched deafening beeps coming through the ear piece. I cringe as I head back to Verizon the second time, this time on my lunch break. They change the sim card, I make a call, everything sounds great. I head back to work, make a call, same damn thing. I go back after work for the 3rd time, furious at this point. I get there and of course there are 30 people in line waiting for one of the 3 workers to help them. I wait two hours while my blood pressure rises every minute. The dude who helps me this time thinks I'm lying since I cant get the stupid problem to repeat. He says its probably a software issue since its intermittent. We wipe the phone clean and reactivate it. I make a call and the speaker sounds much clearer, plus no beeping. I leave, get a call an hour later, SAME BEEPING BULL 5H!T. I go back today on my lunch break for the 4th time and tell them I want a new effing phone. They say ok as long as you have the box.... Which of course is at home. I immediately go down to the apple store and tell them the issues and that I'm tired of dealing with Verizon. He says, "we could swap the phone out right now without the box if you would have bought it here and not there".....FML. Heading back to that hell hole tonight for the 5th time. This phone better last an eternity because I am never going back after this.

they have sim cards. I watched him pull some little card out of the side. If its not a sim card then I don't know what the hell he replaced. The apple store said they couldn't swap it since I didn't buy it there, unless it went through an inspection by their genius department. The next available appointment was hours later. He said that if I would have bought it there I wouldn't have needed to go through that. From now on any apple products I buy will be purchased directly through them.
