I felt like wrestling shoes eat more sand than my slippery shoes, I guess I need to stay off the beach more often... However I need to get an ankle brace, and a sock to go in there... Maybe that will make it feel better, and not as much room for sand to go in there...

I am a size 11, and I got size 12 adidas, they are HUGE... but I got them for free so I can't bitch... I will be getting a sock and braces this year... no insurance, so I will spluge for braces..

does anybody else get bumps on the tops of thier feet? i had one on each side, i guess my foot holds, or shoes don't fit tight enough, or have enough padding. i think i am going to get some larger shoes and some neoprene socks. i am using some nike wrestling shoes, they work good.

neo socks can be had at dive shops pretty cheap...I get them for 10 bucks a pair...

the asics give awesome feel and fit nicely in straps, but are a PITA to get on and off when wet and you have to dump sand out of them...

my biggest complaint with them though is lack of arch support...after a full day of riding my feet HURT

I wear wrestling shoes (Asics) on one boat due to doubled up underlayment. And I wear New Balance running shoes on the other that has single layer underlayment, for foot hold fitment only. I prefer New Balance for traction, but both are OK. I do wear neo socks under both as well.

Riding Shoes

I am going to buy some riding shoes in the soon. I know a lot of you guys are using Asix wrestling shoes. They are cheap and they work great, but they don't make them big enough for me. I have a pair of Nike wrestling shoes now that I use for other activities. For the price of a pair of Nike wrestling shoes I can buy a pair of shoes made for the water. What would you guys recommend? Buy the wrestling shoes or something else? O'Niell, Slippery ect.

Thanks
Brent

What! What!
I used to wear Asics wrestling shoes, but just use old running shoes as I replace them now. I like the better cushioning and support that the running shoes give me compared to the wrestling shoes. Plus they don't cost anything
