well got some numbers coming, new vp jug and a tach hour meter.
Second time sucked to. At least I didn't break a digit this time.Installing a dry pipe is like sex, the first time is awkward and painful for someone, the second goes a lot better and you look back and laugh at the first time.
nope what should i do? it would be a lot easier if i would trim the openingThe first time I switched from a type 4 to a B pipe, I was ready to burn my ski when I tried to get the stupid B pipe chamber in there. Dry pipe in an SJ hull is pretty easy, not sure how well its going to squeeze into my BOB. Have you modified the manifold per JSS recommendations?
Definitely trim your hood lip where you can, John from JSS recommends grinding off the lip they cast into the manifold (where the coupler slips over), removing the O-rings, running a heavy duty coupler and filling the O-ring grooves with copper high temp silicone. I did this on my last one and it made install much easier, just spend the extra time with the motor out of the ski setting up the lord mounts with the proper amount of washers to get it shimmed properly before installing.nope what should i do? it would be a lot easier if i would trim the opening
