Thanks @yamanube for the pic. At the moment I feel pretty confident it's on there solid. I got new I rings and hd coupler from Jetmaniac in Daytona. I could use a washer under one lord mount now, but I didn't need one before. Thinking I just had the mounts in the other way last time and it was perfect. May swap those around and see if I get the fit I need it maybe it's just the difference in the head. Everything else is the same. Also the little difference in the acorn but on my girdle stud made a big difference in getting the pipe in there. Have to pull the box as well. Don't know if it's just an x jet thing or common. The x jet is lower by 1.5" if I remember right. And with a pipe this large that matters.

Making a little progress. Have friends wanting to ride this weekend so I started the padding.

Finally burned through 5-6 gallons and put 45 min on the tach. Checked compression yesterday an found out this

I can't say enough about this engine and setup. It's extremely snappy, instant throttle response and never stops pulling. Going to up the octane to av this week and try it again. Put down some temp turf because it was pretty much in ridable even with padding.

Ran 2 gallons of 110 mixed 40:1 927 maxima today. It's even more of an arm stretcher now. This is today's on the water top rpm reading. This is stock nozzle and cone with 9/15 hooker. I really need an intake grate top loader. I've been running nothing and it's very greasy and wants to boil the prop at times.

We got ran off the lake today with a tornado scare. Luckily i didn't revive any damage just post power for a couple hours.

Got a chance to take this thing it for a rip yesterday. Very impressed with it, plenty of punch for sure. Got lucky and caught a barge that was kicking out nice 5'-6' waves. I was in my boat with no riding gear watching Matt hit barge waves when he rode over and offered me a ride. I grabbed his vest and took off. No helmet, no gloves, and tiny thin toe shoes that were crazy loose in foot holds. I didn't plan to flip it, in fact Matt told me to go for it and I said nah, they aren't peaking enough for a superjet with no trim. After a few big barrel rolls I fell into a trough I couldn't roll out of so I just pinned it and pulled. I thought no way in hell I'll make this. I was blown away when I nosed it in and rode out.
Great times bro, you built a kick ass skidoo. Thanks for the wave ride!
