I think it's a complement to Tem on his design that people move in the direction that he took... When someone comes out with a new and successful design in any aspect, there will others to follow.... Splashing molds is not cool, but if your coming out with something new with improvements to another design.... ....isn't that how we wound up where we are today???
I've come up with my own floor plan to be different from everything else that's on the market, but when another builder uses it and changes the columns on the front and changes the layout of the bath, well... There's not too much I can do about it other than take it as a complement....

i believe that the "revised bottom deck" is a copy because they found out that there is better ways to create lift other than a bulge on the bottom They can only do so much with the bulge bottom deck, where the superfreak can still have improvements so they ditched there old design and copied the design of the bottom deck and tried to improve it. Not sure how it rides but superfreaks ride great.

About the only thing I've noticed that the Superfreak / Circus and the Hurricane have in common is the intake idea. Which is a bitchin idea and kudos to whoever started that up! But other than that they're very different bottom and top decks.
I think once riders can actually get a look at both hulls side by side, they will really begin to see all the differences. Then take them for a ride and see which one suits your riding style better.
Tem's a badass designer, builder and one of the coolest guys I've ever dealt with. Big D, Lil D and the rest of the crew at The Ski Clinic are also cut from the same cloth and are just great people.
Both companies are innovating, changing and helping us all push our sport / hobby / addiction and overall good time on the water.

Well your wrong. Derrick spent DAYS reshaping the gen 3 plug to get the hurricane. Its a trued bob bottom minus the buldge with better rocker. It feels like a BOB when you ride it more than a,freak.

In all aspects of engineering you look at something and figure out how to make it better. Your not stealing an idea your refining it. This has been going on since the start of time. Does this make the sport better or worse ? Look at cylinder porting ; not sure who started it but everyone has their own spec. I like the fact that i can chose a product for my riding style . I'm sure all riders have very high passion for the sport and their equipment. Support what you ride but be bias to others .

Also. I do think the bob army likes stuff like this so the goodness can trickle into a cheaper ski. Pretty sure the hurricane is on par with a freak in price though..... its ok I still love you guys. Would I get banned if I posted a these skis in a photo scaled showing the similarities?
We did the first carbon winged intake tunnel for a 155/162mm pump about 18 months ago where the wing bridged across the entire pump tunnel , I had not seen it done before but doesn't mean it hasn't . Jason Hurt (tricky1) saw the prototype and took pictures of it that he later sent to several builders , I think Xmetal and Bob are using a version of the intake because it is a more efficient way to direct water to the pump . Dose it look like our intake ? Yes,, but most anyone who goes this route with a intake will look somewhat the same . I think this intake is the future for high performance freestyle skis .

Amen Brotha, its the way things get better. Every aftermarket hull made started somewhere. Either from an SXR, 300EX, Superjet or some form of existing hull.
He!! we would still have only one auto mfr if we said we cannot build another one with wheels because it would be splashing LOL. If your a motor builder your starting with 62T or 66E cases, is this week and un inventfull as well?
Anyone who does not see this is small minded and does not understand the way of evolution at all.
