He likes being different. Plus its way easier to get to it like this than on the bulkhead. There sould be just enough space to pull the electrical box out without removing the carbs. Might just have to remove the FA's.

To each his own, I disagree. Ebox is easy to access on mine and also leaves room on the side of the hull to reach the carbs without removing anything. The hood opening is tall and somewhat small so I like being able to reach down the sides of the engine to work on things and to spray silicone after rinsing/flushing etc.
I didn't know if maybe he was running a big enclosed TL setup

This hull is getting the TPE1100 and the newer TL setup. He will be riding it 98% flatwater. Once setup he will just beat it all summer. I will post pictures of it all installed when the motor gets here and we get it back together.

Post a picture of your setup when you get a chance. I think its good to have people try things differently.

most of the hulls come in around 74-76" once the tailplate is trimmed to where most people like them.

72" is the end of the hull and the longest rideplate allows for around 80-82"

My -2" Superfreak was 81" but a rockered aftermarket hull is shorter in the tail and the nose so you can't compare to an SJ that's only shortened in the rear. The tray placement is more forward, the nose is more rearward, and the rear is shorter. It's more balanced than just chopping 9" or so off the back of a Superjet.

Are these length measurements along the running surface of the bottom deck or from nose to tail? As in push the nose up against a wall and measure from the wall to the tail of the ski?
