Tigercraft Aquabot V2 build

What's your RTR weight? It looks like you should probably focus on set up wake flips. At least now you got some flops out of the way and realize being upside down isn't so scary, you'll just do some bigger flops off your wake until you get it.

What helps me is watching videos of pros over and over and over,

Another thing is buy your buddy with a boat a case of beer to throw a wake for you, hit it all day and learn the technique yes it's different than doing a flip off your own wake, but the boat will help you learn

Just my .02

The top (base plate?) where the steering plate bolts on is adjustable. You can change the angle to raise or lower the bars. It is drilled for UMI style steering but OEM will fit if you get/make a bushing like the x-metal comes with. Stock steering bushings fit in a 1" ID hole and this pole is about 1 1/4 " hole. Fit and finish is really nice but the cable stop doesn't fit my blowsion HD steering cable. Came with pivot bushings and chin pad. The particular pole is from their first run. Tony told me they have made some improvements but I didn't ask what they are. So far the only thing I can see that should be changed is the steering cable stop. I'll post a couple more pics when I get it on the ski or start a product review thread on it (to moderators: the new forums of product reviews are awesome! kudos to the folks posting objective reviews)

thats not a aura issue, it is the cable. i had to mod mine.

the hd cable is beefier all around so the stock stay needs to be modded. if you had a stock cable it would bolt up no problem.

That is what I thought and I guess I worded it poorly, meant to suggest that. Thanks King of Hack for pointing that out. Everything else I got from Tigercraft, the fit has been exact and I know the HD cable is little bigger diameter in each part. I didn't have an OEM size cable laying around to test fit so I didn't know for sure. In any case, a little extra (careful) work with the dremel and my HD cable fits in it fine. ALthough now I cannot go back to a standard cable unless I buy another cable stop. I haven't seen the cable stop on the other top end poles but this is the most secure one I've seen so far. It is really nice and the pole is already drilled for it to bolt on in a couple places to help keep the straightest alignment with different steering plates.

In addition to breaking my knock off handle pole, my positive battery cable was on its last couple of strands from my back flop practice and my fuel tank not being strapped down tight enough. Just got a new set of cables from @OCD Solutions (here on the X) and they are sweet! He made them to my requested length (stock plus 8 inches) so now I don't have to balance the ebox on the flame arrester. I can actually put it on top of the ski. Plus he had them in the mail the next day. Wish I would have started out with these. Seemed a little pricey at first $75 but that includes all three cables, shipping and paypal fees and made to requested length. Really a pretty good deal. They are top notch materials and craftsmanship. So strapped the fuel tank in tighter and tomorrow go in search of big (NE florida big) surf!
