Tis' the season for knock offs (observation/rant)

Yeah, wheres Mudphish aka Blowsion police?!?!:wavey:
He used to all over this sort of thing. I havent seen him around for a long time.

It's all so much fun to watch from the background, I have better things to do than chase small time splashers....

The funny thing is none of them are making any kind of real money at it...

Price, quality, service. If you cannot get all 3 from a SO CALLED manufacturer then you have people ATTEMPTING to Splash parts or make and sell a reformed version. Most will fail, but the ones who do not create the SO CALLED manufacturers we have now and later. Its the american way people. How many of the big name guys in this sport started making a DAMN NEAR EXACT replica of an SJ hull as thier first aftermarket hull but now offer a BETTER version? Come on people, this is how businesses get started and why the US has the highest in self employed, business owning people in thew world. Wonder how Blowsion got started????????????????

How Blowsion got started.

He was a skinny high school senior with a clapped out 440.. I met him at the boat ramp, and his 440 was in primer (a few different colors) and he said he was gonna paint it himself.. I thought.. Sure.. Whatever kid..

A few week later he called me at the shop and said his ski wouldn't run, so I had him bring it over for repair. He show up with the same 440 with a paint job that is still cool by todays standards and I was friggen amazed... The problem with his ski was paint flakes in the carb..

A true enthusiast!!

Come on Rj, "mega millionaire"? Shyeeah. That's why back then you were driving a tricked out and slammed Subaru Brat with the Nasa jumpseats in back, and why I am now driving a 97 Gaybaru BackOut.

We both had bad mullets, and indeed you taught me that PPG paint does not add any performance to the venerable single mikuni in a 1978 440!
