It is a polaris based PSI Genesis 1155cc motor. They seem to be very rare, I have found maybe 4 or 5 forum posts about people running them in jet skis, but no one who is active on the forums any more. I bought everything as a parts pile. I actually bought it for the swoopy sided superfreak hull that it came with. Chance out of amarillo Tx was the original owner, but I picked it up off of one of his friends after he passed away so I don`t have much info on it. My plan was to toss a stock 701 in the hull to match up with my other swoopy sided freak. Once I found out that the snowmobile version of this motor was rated somewhere around 225hp I figured I should at least try it.....plus I found out that the mount pads in the hull are not located in the standard superjet positions it kinda sealed the deal.
The carbon bed plate came with it. I`m not sure who made it, but when I was asking Tem if he remembered anything about the hull and mentioned that he believed the hull was modified to hold a EME motor with a composite mount plate. So I`m guessing it might have been sold by EME as they are well known for using polaris based powerplants.
No reply from MSD so far. Looks like I will be firing up the lathe, mill, and testing out if a motorcycle wheel balancer will balance a flywheel tomorrow.
