Today was a good day - the counter to trivial complaints

Today I heard that my daughter landed a nice paid internship (which also gets her a $2K scholarship for next year) in her field for her summer college break and that she passed a class that has been just wearing her out lately that she thought for sure she would fail.
What field?

Monday I'm transferred from "survey engineer" on a huge rail project to "office engineer" on a building project. Which is very degree-related for me and I'm quite happy. I want to get into project management eventually so this is a good step experience-wise. Survey engineering has done nothing career-wise for me.

Plus about to go on a 2 week training trip which has some vacation mixed in.

May22: Phoenix for vacation
May 27: LA for training
may 31: omaha nebraska for training
June 5: Houston for huge concert and see friends
June 8: fly back to Hawaii.

Lots to be excited about :)

Was scheduled to give a presentation in front of 1000 people including the Board of Directors on a subject I knew nothing about. Woke up and thank God it was only a dream.

It's been busy month. Building a cancer center currently. The rain held off and we were able to get the magnet in safely with no issues. First CT/nuclear room was completed yesterday with several more completing today. More major medical deliveries next week and next month.

Little bit of a crossover from the complaints thread:
I recently interviewed for a job that I would like to have. Decent salary, lots of room for growth etc, but pay cut from crazy commission land.
I started job hunting because money was/ is getting tight with my current gig, but since the interview things are shaping up for us to have a great year in 2016 $ wise.

So if I get the job... Hooray I have steady money, less stress, great perks etc.

If I don't get the job, I'll probably make a lot of money next year.

Truth be told, I'm doing my best to convince myself this is all good news, because i'm really stressed out about the whole ordeal.
I think i'm failing at this thread.
