Today was a good day - the counter to trivial complaints

Looks great, mine also had that great pinterest idea. I used pallets, thought it would be quick.
Was pretty time consuming and not all that easy. She's happy and nuggets happy.

No, not really that easy to do. I went into it thinking it would be a piece of cake! My father-in-law has so many pallets at his shop, but NO, we had to go buy expensive boards from Home Depot so they would look really nice!

Yours does look cool with all the different board colors, since you obviously needed a lot of them.

I've been scowering the interwebs for reclaimed 1x6's to do this to a wall in our house. I may take the route you took. I'll probably distress the wood some. You'd be amazed the results you can get running a torch over the grain.

Adblock.

I spend a lot of time on youtube at my part time jerb and playing music while I'm working at home. I kept hearing about adblock but I just dealt with the adds and commercials. I installed adblock and it's literally changed everything for me. The first freeware program I've ever donated to.

Do it.

Adblock is awesome. I have a really old version of it on my home pc and it even blocks ads on Pandora. :) No-script is another good add on. I haven't had a virus or malware since using it.

After 7 ear infections this year, my son finally was cleared for ear tubes. Had surgery 2 weeks ago. Went to the the post op appointment today, doctor checked all hearing and he passed tests with flying colors! Healthy and healed she gave us green light to play in the water, My kids are stoked to go swimming and out in the boat this weekend. As I was walking out asked doctor about her recommendation on adult ear plugs for water sports.. ( Something i have put off for a long time..) she sized my ears in about 30 seconds and said pink or blue? I said blue.. And BAZINGA! She hooked it up with some docs pro plugs!

Have you ever looked into Chiropratic care for the relief of Chronic Ear infections? We had numerous children come through our clinic that benefited from getting adjusted, one in particular that had suffered for a couple years and was allergic to most of the prescribed treatments. We got him turned around in just a couple weeks.

I had terrible ear infections and fevers as a kid...i feel for your little man! My fevers and ear infections were so bad, that they destroyed my adult enamel rods and my teeth came in with hardly no enamel and all jacked up. I had tubes as well, and always wore ear plugs swimming....but i did whatever it took to have fun in the water during the summer! Good luck to yall!

No we have not looked into that Boyer, I did not know that even existed for ear infection cases. It's been a brutal ride the last year or so, constant fluid in his left ear and long nights of restless sleep. He had to get a pre op exam to assure no fluids or cold / feverish symptoms prior to tube surgery. In fact he was on his last day of antibiotics when I had the exam. We just kept going back over and over. That being said he's been doing awesome and sleeping much better these last 2 weeks. Can't put a price On that! It's been a relief for sure and he's now 2 years old and is talking more, starting to let us know what hurts and what is wrong. So that confusing chapter is coming to a close... But we're not out of the woods yet! Hopefully he doesn't go thru jonesy's ear saga as mentioned. Thanks to you all and we're pumped to hit the lake or even the pool of the weekend gets rained out!

Be glad we live in such an age with such options. My mother had the same chronic issues as a child and was rendered partially deaf by the age of 9 because she would get ear infections so frequently and was allergic to penicillin. Since that's pretty much all they had in the 50's her only other option was Cobalt therapy, (radiation therapy).

Well you can imagine how safe that was back then, lol. She has had a myriad of health issues her entire life and we only recently put it together that the Cobalt treatment was the cause. In addition to it wiping out her immune system and having to undergo several surgeries to remove the scar tissue and rebuild her eardrums, she started having major neck issues and eventually had C1, 2 and 3 fused together.

It appeared that they were never fully formed and therefore degenerated sooner than everything else. Her chiropractor was stumped until he learned of the cobalt treatment and research indicated that the treatment at such a young age, had stunted them from ever developing properly.

Our ENT also told us to give our little guy OTC zyrtec and that seemed to help out little guy too. He's had tubes since Dec, and he went through a 2 month spell in the spring where he has a persistent ear infection when he wasn't on oral antibiotics.

We think he might finally be doing better. Chronic ear infections suck, especially when your kid LOVES the water.
