Today was a good day - the counter to trivial complaints

I am moving into my new room at our lake house, and my work desk has a lake view. Working from home just got sweeter!!!!

Worse place to try and work from home. I had a carpet rep that on fridays he worked from home. Always reports to do, emails etc.. He got up at the same time. Got dressed just like he was going to work. And went into his office......... This impressed me.......... But he sucked as a rep..........

Im actually super productive from home, and I usually only work half days on Fridays (the only days I ever work from home) because I do some work during the weekends for database releases and such. Im getting a promotion, so I dont suck!

Haha I knew what you were referring to! It makes me work harder knowing I have to work hard to keep that view. Ohhhh half day today. Riding at lunch....yaaaaa buddy!

Just ordered a $390 part for a customer after 4 days of trying to get repair approved. Go downstairs into my shop to see what UPS just deliveried and open up a box and se the same part I just ordered. I ask my brother if he ordered it and he says yes back on monday did they needed it. Now I'm on hold trying to cancel the 1 I just ordred. PIA

I will office from home soon with my new job. I'm looking forward to it.
I won't have a water front view but I do have lots of trees, cool selection of birds to watch.

My office attire currently is shorts and a polo (self enforced, I could wear a tshirt... but i'd feel like a slob.) and sneakers.

I'm sure eventually i'll be taking breaks in the garage, chipping away at projects in my spare time. But in the near term, it's gonna be pedal to the metal.

We agreed on compensation... verbally LOL. I think we've eclipsed the 90 day mark and I'm not officially an employee.
I'm supposed to get a offer letter in the mail any day, I assume I have to sign and return it. I've been advised not to notify my current employer until I get the letter.

This has been the most bizarre hiring process i've ever had or heard of.
