Worked till 2am but got up early and got the lawn mowed before it hit 90F.

Listed my old compressor on Craigslist last night and had a guy pick it up a few minutes ago for full asking price. :D

Hopefully the day continues this way and I can finally pick up an AC unit for my garage.

Had the best fathers day ever! Wife took me camping and we went canoeing with my 3 year old who caught his first fish! Also managed to get the wife into a sit on top kayak and she loved it! Right as we are loading up to leave she gives me two nice Tennessee vols shirts for fathers day and as i go to put the cooler in the car there is a brand new yeti tundra zitting in the back of the pilot. Girl treats me way better than i deserve, makes pretty babies and puts up with me. Doesnt get any better!

Check out the duct less heat pumps pretty cool units. A lot nicer than a unit hanging on a window and you get heat too.

Our facility and parking area is currently under construction. Every once in a while I see this kid with a backpack cutting thru the property. I've always wanted to let him know that for liability's sake I'd advise him not to use our property as a short cut, but I am usually on the phone with a customer at the time. So, today I am driving back from the bank and there is the kid halfway across our parking lot. I say "Excuse me" He say "What?" I reply, " It's really not a good idea for you to be walking thru here while this work is going on" his reply "Yeah, whatever, what are you going to do, call the cops on me? So I say, "I certainly could do that, and come to think of it, since you are mouthing off at me, that's exactly what I will do next time". He comes back with "Whatever gets your rocks off old man". I am absolutley fuming and would like nothing more than to snap that greasy little punk's neck, but potential jail time stops me from doing so. "Fair warning kid, that this will probably end badly for you". He then simultaneously flips me off, shouts "Phuck You" while looking back over his shoulder and goes to step over a silt fence and hay bale. His foot gets caught on the top edge of the silt fence and he lawn darts face first into the gravel on the other side. Today was a good day indeed. Oh Karma, thank you so much.

That kid is Cleveland and he'll get over that fence every 52 years

I've been checking them out and agree with your statement so I do have some thinking to do.

The portable unit is cheaper and can be moved into the house if needed. The split unit operates cheaper and can install up and out of the way.

I don't have a window so venting the portable unit will require some commitment. If I'm committing, it may as well be to a split unit.

I had a contractor come today and measure things up to install spray foam above the garage.

I have many options here so I am hoping to pick the one or two with the best bang for the buck.

Ive always teased about people riding couches. Im guilty, once in a while ill blow the dust of the sit downs for the family to enjoy. Its fun for about 20 minutes tops but everyone enjoys riding. A couple days ago i got to ride my buddies 15' turbo'd rxpx pushing over 400hp... I now have a new respect for sit down racers. That was by far the fastest accelerating machine ive ever pulled the throttle on.. 2-3 second blip of the throttle and im doing 80 mph and its still pulling.... I need one of these things..

Cutting a hole for the portable unit not an option in my book. If there had been a window maybe but probably not for me and I'll bet probably not for you.

You would be correct. Our house is also faced in brick so cutting a hole is just that little bit more offensive. I would have to go out through the ceiling and dump it out in the soffit somewhere. Installing the split unit will be very similar but at least it adds value to the home.
