Freestyle Too Much Oil?

Aren't you suppose to use more oil in a PV motor vs. a non-PV motor??

I have 2 skis and I premix 32:1 on my ski with the PV motor and 40:1 on my other ski that is a non-PV motor.

32:1 is pretty rich but if your engine builder said to run it, your would be crazy not to.

Dont discredit quicksilver so fast, Art said i could run it in my modded superjet, he just prefers dominator. There are a lot of oils better than your walmart specials but they will get the job done. That being said, i run 40:1 dominator.

I forgot!
All oils will do the job but the worse the oil the higher the ratio seems to be. My banshee manual says 32:1 yamalube but my interceptor bottle says 50:1 premix and meets all oem specs. Why run more in it?

Personally i dont think more is better after an extensive chat with Art. Like he said, adding to much will throw off your jetting. Oil to fuel ratio is just as important as fuel to air.

And that is why I have my carbs dialed in on 32:1......

A stroker crank is 1500.00, Dasa cast cylinders 1500.00, port work to cylinders 1st and 2nd time 1500.00, case work 600.00, pistons 400.00 pr, where is too much oil a bad thing? Not to mention my previous discussion of oil helping keep the rings expanded fully......

any minute now....

I'm here. Art told me to run sh!tsilver oil too-FOR THE 1st TANK TO BREAK IN MY MOTOR!!! Guess what-I broke my motor in on Benol the 1st 4 times and Dominator this last time. I believe in Benol but it's hard to come by at the moment therefore I am running Dominator this season.

:wave:calm down hot rod, i wasnt singling you out. my first post in this thread said if your built to run 32:1 and your builder says run it, you would be crazy not to. you dont have an average engine, 32:1 is understandable.

And to be technical, oil doesnt expand the rings but rather work with the rings and the cross hatch to seal the cylinder.
