A buddy of mine had a kawi dasa in a superjet. Used engine adapter plate. The thing ripped, acceleration was brutal. That sounds like a great build you have got there.

Yeah I have a kawi dasa 850cc, setting it up in a old wamiltons-2 carbon top superjet. 1st Yamaha for me.

I say nay to that name. It implies that they had somthing to do with the original product. In my opinion They have to earn that title. If they make new innovations or change somthing that Erik didn’t already pour his soul into then good on them!
Just my opinion.

I was really just making a joke. I saw a Superfreak for sale recently that had a sticker or wrap with 'Tem built' on it. It made me think of this thread.

DASA purchased TPE and they can call it whatever they want, but my guess is it will probably be a Dasa cast cylinder. The acknowledgement of what TPE had achieved is that DASA decided to buy them and their technology/R&D.

Cutting a block out of billet aluminum on a Cnc is fairly straight forward. Foundry work and casting is a whole other ball game. What did Dasa even buy exactly. Rights to the customer that does tpe casting?

When you sell a business you are selling rights, designs and consideration of future profits.

And what Erik got for it is none of our business. I hope he made a boat load!!!!!!!! And to answer question, he had everything outsourced. Foundry to do the castings, Another to do the heads and domes.
