Freestyle TPE now DASA?

I talked with Erik many times throughout WF week, this seemed to me like a life decision that he needed to make. Timing was right. Kudos to him for what he has done. Engine-Tech or not he has always been a fun guy to be around even though I always knew he had a sliver of hate towards me :p. Hope all goes well for him and Dasa in the future.

Have you not seen this one?

Seen them all, I get a kick out of them everytime. Should have seen my shirt on competition day, classic!. Notice I posted about the TPE/ET 900 motor. Cant confirm on 967 or 1107. Never been in them to compare if they are a copy. All BS aside, Art is a good dude to me. I will never deal with any other company unless he stops producing engines. I work in a small town, loyalty is gold. Hes been loyal to me, Ill do the same for him. Lot to be said.

Seems it's more of a merger than a "buy out" between two of the best engine manufacturers in the sport. Erik will still be heavily involved, but he left his motors and the day to day stuff in the extremely capable hands of Kyle. I think it's a win-win for everyone.

Or it is one less competitor for Dasa to worry about. And the current TPE engines being ran are the last the world will ever see.

I've always wondered what it is about a cast cylinder/plated bore that a guy could have copied with a machined cylinder. Isn't the whole point of the cast cylinder that it allows you to do things that are impossible with machining?

That plus they look cooler

Zack, I had good time hanging with all you Cali guys and you've got a good sense of humor. Luckily I'm capable of separating one thing from the other as do all your guys. For all those who didn't see, I put one of my last TPE stickers on Zacks boat and he got a good laugh out of it. Zack is a top tier rider no doubt, I cheer for him as a rider but not his engine supplier.

@waxhead, are you kidding me? I was wandering all around with a DASA shirt on. I was the old man just blabbering all over the place. Maybe next year?

@zzylstra, like I said, you've got a really good sense on humor. My humor goes only so far though, like when my buddy ScottiMac put an "I'M GAY" sign over my rear licence plate and I drove to Lowes, then home. It was a 30 mile trip. Oh, and it was cop who questioned the statement of my license plate.
