No blasting or bashing just stating facts. We could easily make them out of alum but won't because we don't make parts that break. Everything we do is over done.

Powder coated steal is fine in and out of salt water.

Powder coated steel in NOT fine in salt water. Salt water will find its way under powder coat and rust from the inside out, dude.

Yes and if your ski sits in water and isnt washed there are more than a few parts that will do the same. Thats why you wash things. Im not talking about parts just laying in salt water Im talking normal use.

It wouldn't be cheap but you can galvanize then powdercoat if you want to be fancy.

Yep you're right. Alum is just as strong as steel.

I'm going to make one out of plastic. With the right engineering it will hold up great. The cost will be 6000 each.
