Trendsetterz who got scammed

Since this thread is already barely on topic I'll throw in my tidbit of knowledge. I had slight issue getting approved for merchant services (accepting credit cards) for my furniture store in NC. Reason being, I am legally allowed to take deposits for furniture, go out of business, and never deliver or refund anything. This leaves credit card companies high and dry refunding their customers while unable to touch me or my business.

I don't know his state laws and although ethically wrong, he may be doing nothing illegal. He just needs to go out of business. Then he can get rid of the stupid z at the end of his name and make it something that is able to be reputable like Trendsetters.

Sorry to hear to all the people who got scammed. I'm sure we all just have to be cautious with new companies that are selling things cheaper then they should be. It's a small industry and most of us give up a lot, just to buy this stuff.

All this is doing is hurting the sport and the morale of the sport and this site. I hope things can be done legally to help you get your money back. One thing to keep in mind is: It's a small world and reputations get around quick.

I paid for my learning experiences at College....I would rather not pay a thief to teach me not to pay another thief. (I didn't buy a chan, or give steve any money...im just saying.)

I just can't get behind someone saying "well, lets chalk that one up to a learning experience." That irritates me.

The guy just to many irons in the fire
Its not like he's lazy and not working on projects. He's still building bikes... hoping ski's will be next.. I have faith

steve came by last night and brought me wild bills $2000 deposit so the refund process has begun. steve took that deposit just after world finals last year. i wont go into what he said he had planned for the future of skis, since i consider everything BS until it happens. i will say things sound a bit more promising than they did yesterday.

At this point I can only assume he's keeping my pole out of spite, similar to telling Christian his negative feedback thread put him at the bottom of the list, or whatever it was he said.

it will be a miracle if the majority of people get their money back.. there have been some serious liars and scammers in the ski community,theres always a few people to back them up that are in their personal hookup list. It never comes to light right away,but just give it time,it always festers to the top eventually once enough people get shorted or outright ripped.
