Not going to provide screenshots (as I understand this violates forum rules), but Steve just contacted me this morning (via text).

Based on the communications he seems to want to put this whole ordeal to rest whether it be return my deposit or accept the hull when completed.

- Getting my money back (which is currently not available, waiting on a bike job to clear) seems to be the clearest and most guaranteed solution.

- Accepting the hull seems fraught with potential issues.

I've informed Steve that I'm reserving my answer until he has at least one of my options available.

Yes, it kinda does, but like I said before, we are giving some latitude on this.

Can't afford the custom hull and college tuition? White people problems for sure!

@js/sj, sorry you feel you got ripped off, when I was working and going to school at the same time, I bought cheaper skis so I could stay on the water and work towards a valuable future at the same time. You can often have what you want in life, its just the quality and quantity that varies based on income... After you have matured as a jetski community member, you will understand that you won't be riding to the hilt every season every weekend every day... There are times that injury, income and ski problems will keep you off the water, but it won't be forever.

I can't see this thread gaining much traction in the real world, people who are serious about filing lawsuits don't start out on the forums, they talk to a lawyer. I also guarantee the lawyer says shut you mouth about what you plan to do, an just do it... We aren't going to see a wave of people coming out of the woodwork on this thread quoting number and listing parts, it hasn't happened on any of the other threads, why would this be different?

To everyone who buys a hull, use Paypal to work to your advantage... make a down payment (a small percentage) and final payment when the hull is received.

Anything outside of 45 days with Paypal and they will just say "sorry for your loss". And they will encourage you to call your bank, who will say "sorry for your loss" too, unless its a CC company, and they usually only have a 60 day window, which is still way too short of a time frame to get your money back if you don't get your hull.

Oh man that article explains a lot!!! Growing weed on a large scale is a full time job I imagine! No time for hulls!
I remember now that was posted about 2 years ago before things really got going with the Chan. I have no other facts to add to the situation but it does reinforce the idea of looking in to who you are doing business with

Strength in numbers, thats what this forum can do. This thread is about who got scammed. Not how long it took to get something and once u got it was junk or anything of that sort. Who got scammed. Im sure this steve dude is worried now and pretending to make right. In the end if y'all go for it together at least you'll stop others from getting screwed. Shut it down!!!! And then get back to doing what you love. There is probably a lawyer that jetskis on here that would hook a brother up.

Well... I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. I sent steve a $500 down payment back in september to lock in a special price until i got my tax return. I was really excited to get one of these hulls until one of my friends paid steve in full for one and he was told it was being shipped and to expect a call from the truck driver within the next week. Well two weeks went by and my friend never recieved his hull and his phone calls were being ignored. Luckily for him, he was still in the range to get his money back from paypal. Shortly after his experience, i seen the X blow up with a ton of negative reviews about steve. Before i sent steve anymore money, i decided to opt out of the whole thing and take a refund. Me being a nice guy, i didn't want to address the real reason to steve, so i just told him i was shorted on my taxes and he agreed to send me my $500 refund. Its been nearly half of a year now and steve just failed AGAIN to send me my money. Im beyond sick of the lies and i NEED my damn money! I noticed everyone is having problems with inboxes being full, so feel free to email me your name and how much your out at AWolf3145@gmail.com - Sorry steve, but I've been far to nice and far to patient about this whole thing. You've mistaken my kindness as my weakness. I will do whatever it takes to get our money back. Get them emails comming everyone! Don't be afraid to speak up! He'll never send you your money under his own will anyway.

Contact f.b.i. Im sure they would be real interested. After seeing a little of that drug ring circus in link above. One of our famous presidents says"i'm not a crook" i like the quote better from point break not so much from the X

Although he agreed to send you your money back I believe somebody touched on this earlier about a down payment doesn't have to be refunded and a lot of the times are not. The point of the refund is to lock the buyer into finishing payments, and if he doesn't then atleast you get a small percentage of money. NOW I do think this guy is scamming people because it has happened many times im just repeating that I don't think a down payment will hold up long unless you have a writen agreement to receive this money back. AND I am not standing up for Steve so people please don't get that twisted. I want this all to get resolved so this sport continues, not becomes a scam fest. You guys are on the right point taking action though, Good luck guys

This guy Steve dug himself a deep hole. Wow hes in a huge mess now. What was so difficult bout just making the hulls and shipping them??

the reason sooooooo many people got ripped off and will continue to get ripped off is simply this:
no one has done anything to him. no one has contacted an attorney, showed up to his house, etc
heck he even had that buzzard dude thinking "duuh maybe he's tellin the truth. not sure.."

no offense buzzard. you've been around the block a few times from the posts ive seen. thats why your post surpised me after you spoke with him.

Has anyone involved in this even consulted an attorney? Again, I think you could get a free consultation if you look around.
