This really sucks that people are STILL going thru this with Trensetterz. I feel for you devin, sorry that this happened. If we are ever riding in the same place this summer you are more than welcome to ride anything that i have there.

The thing is is if I go to school this year and take off jet skiing I'll be in the same situation next year with no hull and no jetskiiing. Summer for me is a time to do what I enjoy most in life and relax before another stressful year of college. But as of now summer is just as if not more stressful than school.

Thus is life until you finish the awesomness that is college man. You suffer in the short term for amazing gains in the long term. Summers are for working and saving money until the next semester for a few years until you're done. Seriously... you're probably not even in your mid 20's yet.... If it's "that bad" go nab a cheap beater standup to run around on during the summer, you don't NEED a freestyle ski. No one NEEDS it, but those that have them (successfully i might add), have them because they've done well in other aspects of their lives.

Life will prove more stressful without a good job, and jet skiing will become even harder. I was one of the few people who went BACK to college, and am so glad I did. I traded the hot humid automotive shop and virtually no time off for an air conditioned office, weekends off/holidays off, and a ton of vacation. Plus the money to keep myself into this drug like addiction we call jet skiing. I know some will turn up their nose at the idea of an office, but man I don't miss one day of the auto industry!

In an effort to get this thread back somewhere to it's original intent and provide a little bit of useful information, I called my issuing bank and spoke to them about filing a dispute. Turns out you can only issue a dispute within 60 days of payment. So... there appears to be no reasonable means by which I can get my $1,500 deposit back (I'm excluding contacting a lawyer, cause that will cost me more than the $1,500) and I guess now that I've gone public with this concern there is ZERO chance I'll ever see that hull. Steve seems to take it personal if you speak about his lack of communication or product delivery.

What really boggles my mind is that people on this site were ready to take up arms and destroy the person(s) who stole that BOB hull in Pismo, but then say those that chose to do business with Steve should have known better (because somehow we should have known he was underhanded). I guess it's just that people as a whole have become so accustom to having money stolen from them by our government, municipalities, IRS etc... It seems that people stealing money from you is far less of a crime, then stealing physical possessions (OK off my soap box).

I bet a round trip airfare to cali, a baseball bat and a ski mask would make those who are at a loss to this guy feel better.you might think of it as 1500 doallars well spent once you hit em with a bat:p:eek::cool:

Kid, you don't know what real stress is. Chalk this up to lessoned learned. Stay in school and go ride a 550 for the rest of the summer and learn how to ride it, until you can rail turns wfo, than maybe you'll be ready for something else.

Errrrr, This is not even the same thing, The guy that had the ski stolen did not ask to have it stolen....... Anybody that has sent Steve money did so on their own free will....... And his issues have been out long enough for anybody to see this........... This is not something new.......... I really feel for everybody involved. This sucks......

Best bet is to buy a ticket and fly out there. walk in. Walk up to one of those expensive bikes and start leaning on one......... Then say "I want my money now or the bike gets it".............. ok, not really, but go pay him a visit. Contact the local small claims court, see if they can do anything.

air blair

you are the reason
You can do something, get a list of everybody and amounts stolen and have one representative go to cali file this claim and go big. Pain and suffering i heard from a few here. Lock up the prick and perhaps theres some stuff that could be liquidated. Liens and whatnot. Prosecuting attourney might even take it over from civil to criminal. Hell just a little tweet in probations ear if he is on probation would get that ball rollin. Don't give up fight on. I want to see justice here.

Bahaha. That college comment got me laughing. JS/SJ you have to watch what ya say on here. I said something bad one time and the people here rode me like a blonde whore for weeks;)...:(. If the 3k spent is close to jeopardizing your college then you better stay on a stock SJ or something for awhile. This sport is a money pit and for a FW ski its more bills than that being thrown down. My dad is against me with these skis but i have one yr left in college. Game plan is to Graduate, get a good job, make bank, buy toys. DON'T make the mistake to mess up that first note otherwise the others wont happen how you want!

I don't see why u would risk your career that your studying for for a jetski when u could ride a regular ski and finish school and eventually own more than one of them and be happy for life

I'm not the sticking-up-for-someone type, but let's cut the kid some slack and get back on topic. I'd hate for this thread to go a horribly wrong as every other thread with Trendsetterz/Steve/Backie Chan/Phantom has.

Believe it or not, there are probably people watching this thread that are on the fence about chiming in and sharing their experience. Let's encourage them to come forward rather than get miles off topic.

If you want to bash js/sj, send him a private message and call him a dumbass. Just don't clog this thread up with your wisdom and life experiences. There is the Off Topic section for that stuff.
