I've been holding off saying anything for the longest time, but I just feel I can't wait any longer. I tried like many others on here who chose to sit quietly hoping that leaving Steve alone would yield better results than publicly bashing him. I did what I thought would help... no text messages, no phone calls, no Facebook messages for months at a time. I'm here to say it's got me no where.
I sent Steve $1,500 on October 3, 2013 as a down payment on a fiberglass Backie Chan. I, like several others, saw the posting about the planned Phantom hull days after my deposit was made and asked Steve if I could have the Phantom instead of a Backie Chan. Steve said that would not be a problem.
I bring this up now, not because I'm out $1,500, but for a reason I think more people on here can relate to. I purchased this hull so that my 17 year old daughter and 13 year old son could use, improve their riding skills and truly enjoy it. Let's face it I'm a 40 plus year old guy and I guess a Superjet is good enough for me. I paid for this hull so that my kids and I could share in an activity that we all enjoy together and right now in the middle of the summer that is not happening.
I don't mind moving on and choosing a different aftermarket hull manufacturer, but that's hard to do when a large portion of the money you planned to purchase it with is sitting in someone else's bank account for approaching a year now.
I don't know if anyone will really read this post or if the mods will delete it because I've publicly bashed someone, but I truly wish I "EITHER" had my $1,500 bucks back so that I could move on and give my hard earned money to another hull manufacturer or just send me my hull.....
