I'm Looking to buy a complete trim system and I wanted to know
(1)All the trim systems that are out there?
(2)Which one has the most degree of trim?

Pretty much which one people are liking the most?

Thats what I have been thinking. What is a better kit to get the easy pull or straight pull? I use to run a xft and it was hard to pull but I like it that way. Does the straight pull come with everything to bolt up and go? The hull I'm going to run it on has a trim tube but it looks like a none threaded tube so how would I secure the cable in the tube?

I thought I had also read someone saying that the bushings in their thrust trim wore out really quick an started messing up his trim ring or nozzle. Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks for the help

I'm not sure of the diameter of the cable diameter, but the McMasterCarr list (search it... its a great list) has a trim cable pinch fitting that goes on a 1/2" piece of PVC. Pretty cool and cheap.

what is the main difference between the straight and easy pull? I guess you just seal off the trim tube with 5200 after you run the cable???? What kind of a drill bit do you use to drill the hole to install the trim tube? Or would a hole saw work better?

one thing to remember with trim you sacrifice steering throw for vertial throw... one of the reasons i decided to sell mine.. oh ... and because i had no desire to attempt a back flip

so far the best trim kits I've used are thrust and xft. Both had a ton of throw and were easy the pull. Worst I've used was the blowsion. It was really hard to pull even out of the water. I just got a killer deal on a protec kit so I'll let you know how that goes...

Had at least 4 straight pull systems , never a problem, perfect fit, SS bushings now so no problems.

IMO the straight pull is easier to pull than the ez pull pulley set up, and I'm pulling mine with xs1000 power, lol

Jetmaniac has the reduction nozzle you need.

Also just a thought you can have to much trim. We reduce the throw on our flatwater ski's. To much makes the ski rotate to fast, less throw gets you more height and still brings the ski around.

Also if you install it correct you don't lose any steering throw, my steering has crazy throw
