Trinity Composites SJ hood.

I had a question..where does everyone keep their fire extinguisher when they move to an aftermarket hood? I would rather ditch mine but the water Nazis would probably tazer me if I didn't have one. is there some sort of bracket to relocate it.

IF you are ging to run one....the lower the better

get a mini and strap it to the battery..

some peeps strap it in between the tank/motor

some run the OEM yellow can in the tray

I dont use one...the one time I was asked about it I just said "last weekend I used it in a competition and took it out"...I 'try' to load it up with the rest of my gear each weekend....

but if my boat ever caught fire on the water, I sure as hell am not opening it up to get it.....Ill just flip it up side down

I know I'm sure as hell not going to stick around if my boat catches on fire! It's stupid to have to have one for jet skis but I gotta stay legal the water cops love us...when they see us pull up to the dock they come running ticket books in hand and dollars signs in their eyes.

They check everything...stickers, boaters card, fire extinguisher, hell the last time I was inspected the copper was pissed that I didnt have my reg number and my marine board sticker together!!!! To make it work I would of had to peel some decals off to put them together. I informed him that I wasn't going to remove any decals of my brand new $6400 boat!

1. keep it low
2. make the liner so it will accept a dry, as well as B pipe
3. include a built in "hood removal device"
4. wide hood channel for no pinching w/hood trix
5. keep in mind with a super short pole/steering the throttle will sometimes hit the hood when cranked to the left

cant wait to see it!

You mean a set of hand holds? I think everything is well covered. Parr has some experience.

Yeah, I think we have everything covered except the fire extinguisher which won't fit if the hood is lowered. Maybe Bobby needs to come up with some fancy new mount for a legal size f.e. As for the dry pipe, how many people actually run one???

i think you will find alotof people are going to be running the dry for there race boats
designing a hood that doesnt fit the race boats as well is cutting out one side of your market

Your right. We've talked about this at the shop. I would rather do two hoods if I have to. I won't know until a couple days if it will fit the dry pipe. Its slammed low and everyone that has seen the start of the hood loves the look and ideas. I don't want to take away from such a cool and unique look for a dry pipe. I will just do another hood design. That second possible hood would be the work for all type.

SLAMMED low :cheer: So low that it will have risers in the liner for the air filters and spark plugs :icon16: (that was a joke of course)

I'm thinking it will be half real by the weeks end, and maybe fully real in another week or two. I wonder if I could get one to do some hood trick testing with :sneaky:

Trinity is about to revolutionize the standup freestyle jet skiing industry, a move that could change the outcome of the world :dunce:

This hood is going to be like a Caddy in every way, without that giant headlights and gold teeth behind the wheel!

Oh Shiet! Did Cracker steal your login? You all must be inhaling the same aquatic fish cover :439: at the lake cause you sure are sounding alike...Everything that I have seen that Bobby has made including Lustic's boat (full on trashed by many riders in Daytona) has been spot on to what they say. :hail:  Nice to see.

Not me man, I'm just :439: on life!

And yes, this hood should be no less than excellent. I've only been down to the shop a few times now but it's easy to see that Bobby knows his business!!! He knows his way around the composites department at wal-mart.....I heard his secret is Bondo brand materials  Only the best stuff from Trinity.
