Custom/Hybrid Trinity Composites

He makes very nice hulls, but I definitely wouldnt buy new from him! He burnt my buddy pretty bad and stole thousands of dollars from him. The only reason he got his matrix is because I couple guys from this forum drove to Bobby's shop and grabbed the hull and parts and put his ski together.

Buyer beware

I love my Trinity Hull and would buy from Bobby again in a heartbeat. I know he's had some issues with delivering dates but he's a stand up guy, does excellent work and always delivers. If he's guilty of anything it's being a perfectionist that takes as long as it takes to do things the right way, even if it means missing a deadline.

I heard about this happening to a few different people then i thought he went out of business or something(I guess not). I remember he gave one of his customers the run around for 2+ years. I have also heard some people pleased with his service, so i guess your kinda taking a gamble when buying his hull from him.

FWIW,

I bought a carbon hood. Bobby went above and beyond for me, even after the sale. Still curious though as I am making preparations for a new hull and rely on others feedback as well as my personal experience.

Later.

There's no gamble with Bobby. The build that lasted 2 years was held up by both parties on numerous different points. Both share equal responsibility for the lengthy build time and both should accept that fact. (which they do, so maybe that last comment only applies to their outspoken friends?.?.?) Hindsight is 20/20 and one thing they will both agree on is that Chris never should have asked for a RTR ski (from Bobby), and Bobby should have never agreed to build him one. Lesson learned, Kommander know handles all RTR orders.

Guys like XJ became friends of the buyer right around the time the deal was really getting out of hand and really got to see the ugly parts of the transaction so I understand their opinions. I was along for the ride right from the start and got to see mistakes on both sides so I have a different perspective. :dunno:

Bobby is a perfectionist and is good at what he does. He works very slow and meticulous though which is desirable on a hull build but can drive you crazy on a full build.

He mounted my hood and handpole for me the day I picked up my hull and he took almost as long to do those two items as I did on the rest of the build.

There IS a gamble ordering with him, Bobby never owned up it. Even leaving the RTR part of it out the equation, Bobby signed a contract on hull to have it ready by a certain date and missed it by 8 months, plus not paying the pentalties. Chris was so pissed off with his experience with Trinity Composites that he sold the hull to another buddy of mine dirt cheap just to get ride of it. At the end of the day, Bobby still owe's chris thousands of dollars and parts that were never delivered.

Chris lost a lot more money on this then someone not getting a 66E exhaust from WDK

If 50 people call you an asshole you're probably an asshole but if only one person calls you an asshole then you probably just have a problem with that one individual right?

I agree that Chris and Bobby had issues, not disputing that in any way, just trying to explain that particular incident is the exception and not the rule.

Holy hell man don't argue with a fanboY, it really doesn't matter if its Bob, Matrix, WDK hull whatever, you won't ever convince them and they will never convince you .
Who's team are you on?

The Trinity hull is a very easy ride and I don't think it's possible to beat the quality... It's amazing
