Trinity Evo vs waterdawg envy

hi, which hull is better between the two? I am looking for a hull that is stable to ride around but also has the good freestyle ability with making me hunch over to much to ride it. How do these sxr based freestyle hulls handle?

Thank you

@djkorn1 ...shall we discuss? We be experts on these 2 particular hulls!

Dude they are both utterly amazing on buoys and chest high to overhead waves! Mine will probably never ever be sold.

I still feel the same way about it as I did before I bought it.....I hadn't even ridden one but it made sense to me that a Kawi..only 100lbs lighter...and powered by a Yamaha would be the bomb. And it is...

I don't know which one I should go with..... Is there a big difference between the two ?

They are more surf boats, or just rippin boats than flatwater freestyle boats. The only thing they won't do is flatwater backflips. They are perfect in waves, especially choppy ones. Light and easy to fling around, but do not ride nose high. You can ride them REALLY fast and they handle fantastic.

My Trinity EVO -2 and Madmat's Envy -2 hulls ride identical. -2 is is the perfect length. I can tell you that the Kawi Trinity one will add a TON of low end to your boat due to the loss of weight. Mine is 103 lbs. I have had ZERO issues with the hull, Foam is still dry, no cracks, no problems with engine mounts, nothing. It is unbreakable.

I think the Trinity is built a little better...(still dry foam after five years)

Thank you for clearing this up. Trinity Evo sounds like the perfect hull for me.

Is there a big difference between the Evo pro and Evo Es ?

I just need a donor sxr for parts before I order an Evo. How much would it roughly cost to order all Oem parts required for the Evo hull?

Yes, my balls tickled from that landing

Good choice with stick with a Trinity. Bobby knows what he's doing and his craftsmen ship is superior to what WDK/Jeff puts out.

I found a complete envy ski for sale on xh2o, if it is still available then I plan on purchasing it. I'll probably buy the trinity Evo down the line.

my trinity epic is basicly the same as the Evo but as a gen2... I will say that mine being a -4 rides crazy nose high and I now almost prefer my stock sxr hull... i think the -2 would be great also or even the full length if you get the carbon version. mine is carbon and -4 and it's nothing like my sxr

As far as being hunch over, stock foothold location on both will do that. You need to have the footholds move forward. I have owned the Trinity EVO Pro (carbon) and a WDK Envy and they handle better than a stock SXR. The winner by a clear margin is the Bullet. Out handles both by a large margin, lightweight and will do anything the others will do, only better. Just my 2 cents

Aren't bullet hulls made for racing, I didn't know they were good for freestyle? All the model names have "race" or "racing" in them. Which model hull from bullet were you referring to ?

Thanks for the input

No. Bullet is not a freeride hull. It is full length race hull. Stick with the Envy or EVO. I prefer the EVO.
