I drive a pickup but I quickly learned that a double trailer makes all the difference...putting skis in the bed sucks!
I recently downsized to an '04 Ranger 4.0 4wd.

here is my truck, 2004 Harley edition F-250, diesel, 4" DR kit, 35's, 4" straight pipe (no muffler, cat) needs to be re-geared...

and also on the topic of hauling. the truck hauls everything to the lake, but then the pontoon hauls the skis out to the cove for the weekend :Banane09:
pontoon is an 87" JC tritoon with 130hp of fury! i had that sucker up to 17 MPH with two SJ's and food/gear for 9 ppl, oh and my two labs too!

Idok pics of your loader? I just picked up a pontoon and need to set up something like this. Any ideas would be appreciated.

i've been a Dodge Ram 4x4 guys for about 20 years now. I am considering a 2009 Wrangler Rubicon but I'm not sure the towing capacity will be there for a 16' long tripple stand up trailer...

I'm affraid to commit to a wrangler...

anyone out there use a newer wrangler (3.8L) to haul their ski(s) with?

sweet. glad to hear you guys finally got around to the upgrade. that pontoon rocks and it definitely handles the surf. It was in some 3-4ft+ stuff when we did the rescue of the deaf people in the overturned boat. I think that had a lot to do with Butti's driving skills...

pontoons rule.

I mainly drove trucks for years. A few years ago I switched to something fun to drive as my primary ride. It's so much better. I save about $1200 a year in gas alone. I can haul ass, whip down twisty roads, pull my skis on the beach, etc. I have an old Ford truck in the backyard if I even need it. It hasn't moved in months.
