unbiased opinion

Can anyone give an unbiased honest opinion regarding the trinity matrix pro hull vs the rickter fs1. Have you ridden both? What were your thoughts on handling, stability, build quality vs one another. Which one do you think could handle the hardest pounding? I have yet to try either one, but from talking to a few guys around here and numerous hours of research online the battle is between the two for my upcoming build. Any input would be awesome.

cheers

If I wasn't in the business of building hulls and deciding between the two, I would definetly go with the Rickter FS2. It's a turnkey hull with all around features for both surf and flat water... and those adjustable footholds are cool too!

So far that seems to be the way to go. Its looking like its going to be the rickter with an x1000 powerplant.

I would be curious to know if you can get the rickter in all black turf and hull as opposed to the red and white design through it?

you havn't gotten an answer form someone who's ridden both yet.

I don't know of a single person who has (although after last weekend I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen). There were 2 running matrix's at daytona and probably a half dozen or more rickters.

I'd love to have either but I'd test ride both first.

IMO the quality of the matrix is going to be better than the rickter...

the rickter will require reinforcement for hard riding whereas the matrix shouldnt

rode the rickter a couple of times this past weekend, plannin on another ride tomorrow but I dont think there will be a matrix there..tried my best but G woudlnt give it up haha :)

I agree with IDOK, the Matrix is one of the best built skis available right now but if it's down to just those two options then availablity may be your biggest deciding factor. Bobby is only building as many Matrix's as he can hand build himself and keep up on his other commitments with NASA. From what I've heard you can get a Rickter pretty much anytime you want. They are made in Thailand and shipped from there too I believe.

yamaslut rode both the Rickter and Matrix last weekend. I'm sure others did too. Heck, Rick Roy rode the Matrix---gotta know what the competition is like.

I have rode both the matrix and rickter. I just order a rickter fs2, I ride surf only the rickter is very stable and predictable felt totally comfortable instantly. Any hull can be crack.

have you ridden either?

He didn't try to make a recommendation. You did.:pancake:
The OP asked for unbiased advice from those who had tried both. You whole-heartedly recommended one without having first-hand experience on the other. You got called on it.

Well Mr. Matt since you are always in my Face, tell me who rode any Trinity Hull in world Finals.... Zero.. enough said!!

The Rickter is proven and have been ridden by a dozen pro riders in Havasu.

I own a Rickter FS-1 now and Currently building another FS-2.

What do you ride???????????? SN hahhahahah

I have tested most if not all the aftermarket hulls out there except for the Trinity hull.

If you read my post I did say that the Trinity hull is good but failed to mention that it is based on what I have heard from feed backs by PRO Riders and not from amateurs!!
