That doesn't make it excusable. I am not disappointed for the money I paid for it. It's a flatwater hood, not fit for surf abuse.

I am now in the market for a RN hood. Any rec? I really like the price of the WDK hoods, maybe the new Razr is better? Maybe he can do a custom stronger layup? IDK. Tom21's are now about $250 more than the WDK hood. Then you get into much bigger money like WCF and Wamiltons stuff for around $1k.

You get what you pay for. I don't know if Crab will want the whole package, but if he doesn't, you can have the hood for relatively cheap.

for surf I would go with the Blowsion Joe Kenny Hood. It is built tough as nails. I had one and sold it, did not like it for flat water.

I will take a Wammer Hood anyday of the year.

i dont have any more info on it other than this....

straight from his blog;

"This boat is featuring my new signature series hood kit by Blowsion. This should let far less water in, and has some mechanical elements built in to keep the hood on during hard sideways landings. There is one more element to this package that I will have to wait till Surf Slam to tell you guys about...but SJ riders will like it!"

I'll wait and see then, thanks.
