Yuppers, it was $125 (with a 250 label roll) but one of the most valuable tools I ever purchased for my business.

I have access to a label printer @ our family business that's setup for UPS..Could I use that? I need to find a more efficient way, but not break the bank doing it.

Check ebay, there is a guy selling reconditioned units on there for under $100.

The printers install on any computer so yes, as long as it gives you the option to select the proper type of paper, it should work for you. Just select the printer when you get the option to print.

I am having hit or miss luck with mine depending on what program i'm printing from. Paypal and www.stamps.com work very well but I have to use my laser printer with sheet labels from USPS.

The thing I like about it the most is that it is a true thermal etching rather than ink that can get smudged or smeared. The glue is way better as well and I haven't had a label lift or peel yet.

The Avery 8126 is the most common label for home and will work in any printer. It's the same one ebay supports and you get 2 labels per page. They are what I used for the last 10 years. I had a good month with OCD so I decided to make the investment.

Typically buy 100-200 labels for under $25.

If you have a thermal printer that you already use for UPS, you should be able to print out some sort of USPS labels. I used to do a lot of business with UPS world ship and USPS, and if I remember correctly, you can get labels from USPS for free and they will deliver them to your house.

Thats fine to me, I already thought they were too cheap. Selling stuff like this has a pretty big learning curve.
Yeah it is a learning curve! And a lot of work. There's a lot of hidden costs too, like materials, pp fees, etc.

I'm thinking around 3$ each per koozie.
For shipping+handling/pp fees:
Orders up to 3: 3.25$
Orders of 4-10: 4$
Orders 10-20: 5-5.50$
20+: 6.25$

Those are just estimates for now.

Doing a huge group buy with like 50 buyers sucks, especially if you lose money. And as long as your are transparent and honest about shipping issues etc, I dont think anyone will mind.

You should definitely look into print labels. You can even use a normal computer printer to print various types of labels.

Yes I will be completely honest for sure.

I use label printers for ups, so I'm familiar with them. I just didn't know you could ship first class usps using your own label printer.. I would have done that if I knew!

Honestly man i dont think 5 bucks a piece plus shipping is unfair. Or maybe 5 bucks for a single, and 3 bucks for multiples??? You gotta take the time you spend packaging and ordering and what not into account and get reimbursed for that. Dont shortchange yourself ;). I think most guys on here are willing to throw the extra 2 bucks at it just to support the sport. What does everyone else think? Would you pay five bucks for one? Let the guy make a little bit of extra for the headaches of providing us with a sweet product?

Totally agree...if people can drop 5 grand on motors to support the sport, 5 dollar koozies aint a thang!

Let's do math... lesson: cost per unit per drunk... if a coozie was $5/ea.. and you drank a case of 24 beers (your choice flavor) that coozie cost you $.21/beer. If your lucky enough not to lose said coozie after them 24 beers and continue to use said unit it will increase in value by length of use until it might cost pennies on the beer.. so as long as the user doesn't abuse their unit(or their beer) it should make economic sense to keep your beer cold for pennies per unit... because otherwise the only choice we have is to purchase a pair of gloves that would be much more costly to misplace.. not to mention your buddies would laugh at you historically for wearing winter gloves when it's anywhere above about 45 degrees out...
