I am working on it now
i will post some pics soon

the price is australian $800
i am not sure what that is in american
about 600 i expect
when you consdier the only ignition that offers the same sort of tunabilty is a vilder except the vilder only goes to 27 degrees advance and its a 1000 american if you can get one
i think its good value
is that for everything you need to hook it up to a pc for custom tuning?

Ah...I was going by their web site price, which is 160GBP
You're saying it's only 124? That is quite the difference from what's posted on their site.

Sounds like an ignition may be the way to go. Plus I don't have to pull the motor back out. Any more opinioins? I appreciate the feedback guys.

If you're going Total loss, you will have to pull the motor back out.
Well, I highly recommend you do, anyways. I suppose it's possible to install a TL without pulling the motor, but considering it only takes 20 minutes to pull the motor.....

there is a tunning box to go with it
thats cost about 250 australian
one box works with all ignitions
if i get a sale of 4 ignitions in a group i will give you one for free
other than that you can send me your ignition and i will put another curve of your design in for free
the choice is up to you

Yeah. I remember a post from NJFL that said he only paid like $230ish and I was confused until I got the info from Chris saying foreign countries don't pay the wicked tax that he includes on his site.

True. It's actually out right now to reinforce the sides tonight, but it'll be going back in there by the weekend. Why is it easier when it's out? I pull the tank, and can get to the flywheel and stator. Maybe this isn't as simple as I think....

The price on the website is 160 GBP. Take 17.5% off, and you're at 132.8 GBP.
Add 20GBP for shipping, and you're at 152.8GBP.
You're back up close to $300.

I don't follow this pricing - unless the web price is more than it costs. You're saying that it costs 104 GBP for us Americans...that would imply a british price of 125 GBP, and not 160 GBP.

A proper total loss installation will take a few hours. You need make sure the pickups are installed right and are secured against otherwise inevitable destruction. You need to install them and the stator plate. You need to install the flywheel.
You need to set the static timing and check it - recheck it with a timing light.
You need to program a curve (don't neglect this! It takes time to get to a usable curve that takes advantage of your engine without blowing it up)
And then you will need to install everything waterproof and make sure all your wiring and connections are good. This can take an easy 8-15 hours.

Got it. I guess it would be easier on a bench than trying to hang upside down to see what you're doing. I can get the stock stuff out of there in about 15 minutes.

Well, that's cool...it's cheaper than I thought. Might consider that in the future.
Thanks for the headsup!

A sport port is pretty nice. It's not a pro-port job, but it's a cheap, strong improvement.
