supposedly some leak less than others.

But yea, I prefer a couple of electric bilge pumps, in addition to the stock siphon bilge.

ive ridden with freinds with scuppers, and they cant leave the boats in the water.

( that would hamper my relaxing weekends!)

yes and yes. but for some reason its cooler to have a scupper.

My philosophy on Scuppers is that if you are the type of person who takes on a lot of water and needs the water out quickly for the nest trick(i.e. freestyle competition) then they are a must for you.

Now I also think you can still be the type of rider who does the harder riding that takes on a lot of water, but if you don't mind waiting for the bilge's to pump them out then not having a scupper is fine.

In my case I don't mind waiting an extra 20 seconds to pump out the water before doing my next trick. I'm not saying I wouldn't take a scupper if one was given to me. I'm just not too wild about doing the install just yet.

If you sit in the tray with a scupper or lay in the tray so that the scupper is a couple inches below the water it holds it shut well enough that that in about an hour you will have as much water as one deep sub. Not a lot and if you take off within 3 seconds the water is gone. If you pull the ski up on the beach so that the tray is out of the water then what does it matter if a little water gets in there it can't get any deeper than it was when you pulled it up on the beach.

those sound better than the 2 freinds skis ive ridden with, they couldnt leave them in the water for ANY amount of time without filling up.

maybe they were both defective.

I simply dont want to have to deal with that crap.

I have over $10,000 in my SJ "including aftermarket parts and the $2500 price tag for a 97 slightly modded "and it doesnt look like anything special because it needs paint .but it has all the goodies .but I would be crazy to think I could get $5000 for it maybe $4000 in mid summer .
