Vforce 3 lifespan?

They should have lasted longer than they did. But honestly, plan on replacing them every year or so. I need to order a new set of Carbon Techs. They should be wearing out at any time now! 14 years is long time. Should be good for 4 more!

I contacted vforce about my reeds, they told me to send them in for inspection. Just got an email back that said they took care of them and are shipping them back. Whether that means new pedals or a whole new kit, they stood behind their product free of charge.
I wasn't expecting that!
V force is awesome. Ive done the same and they replaced no questions asked

Let me know if you attempt to mod the K750 to work in 62t?
Happyto help with any advise you might need?

I got them with the intention of using them on a 62t. I have two methods I think I can do this, trim the cages like stock yamaha ones or modify a crossover spacer to clear the reed blocks so I can have a sealing surface, it would also space them out. I will hit you up in PM later to hash out the details. I appreciate the help.

If @Jr. doesn't mind giving up the tricks publicly I'd be interested in seeing too.

It looks like it's simply trimming the flange to fit with the Yamaha mounting style based on the previously posted pics, but maybe there's more too it?

Nothing really to it. I just remove reed pedals to avoid any possible damage. And I cut them down on my bridgeport.
Others have done them cleanly with dremels. Just take your time and be patient.
The sealing surface is the std reed side gasket. Maybe a slightly shorter mounting screw since its a thinner reed flange. If you run Boysene power reeds, you can delete the reed stops and use the torque plates supplied with the reed set. Thats it!

Sounds easy enough to do the sides with a dremel and top and bottom with some sort of a bench grinder/bench sanding disk.
Is there much of a performance difference between say Kawi 750 cages with am reeds and vforce?
Honestly I have no idea how much of a difference my vforce made since I never tried anything else with my setup. Have nothing to compare it to.

I cant answer the performance question other than that they flow about 20% more than stock. I can tell you however that they are really cheap, like 6 cages with good reeds for 25 dollars cheap.

Got some interesting news today. So, vforce completely replaced all reeds. They replaced them with these instead of the 4 pedal design.vforce 3.jpg

I asked for the reason behind it and they said the tension is the same, but it only has one slit(not sure what difference that makes) and apparently very good durability in snow application and in cr500s.
