Exactly. Unfortunately, so many people in this country are already to used to be taken care of by the government, and by extension, the hard working tax payers. A personal friend who just turned 21, who had just started working after recently graduating from college, lost her job and is now taking home $700 more a week than she was making before she lost her job. How can someone who never even brought home $1,100/week now get that from the f'd up socialist state of ny??????

And I can't stand that they call the handout from the fed. "stimulus checks"... they are a not! They are a bailout to help people through what the dems are doing to the economy.

People need to stop buying crap they can't afford and start thinking about how they can be more independent. I see the news reporting about long lines of cars waiting to pick up food from food banks... so many of those cars are pretty damn expensive. Pretty sure most of those in line live in pretty nice, large houses. That tells me they are either taking advantage of this (and thus taking food from people who really need help) or are living beyond their means and have no savings to help get through an emergency. In either case, that's messed up.

Oh, and finally, the mainstream media (the today show) as I type this, is taking the Wuhan virology lab leak seriously instead of dismissing it as a conspiracy theory. Imagine that, actually asking questions about where this really started, finding documents that then get retracted. So yeah, trump talks like an blathering dumbass sometimes, but more often than not, he sees the reality and calls it out. Dems and the media just don't like to hear it.

*And if I hear "new normal" on more f'ing time, I'm gonna lose it! This is not a new normal, this is a push towards a new world order and the sheep are being convinced that it's ok.

The sad part of this whole thing is I’ve been a Trump supporter since day one but after watching his daily performances during this pandemic I just can’t do it anymore. He had no grip on reality, has made endless bad decisions (made one or two good ones that were made way too slowly) and just talks out of his a$$ 99% of the time. It’s embarrassing to watch. And it will be his undoing. I thought he would sail in for a second term but there is no way in hell he will after this clusterphuck.

I think he will. Dems choose the best of there worse to endorse history shows they do this anytime a rep. is running for second term. Unless Biden has one hell of a running mate and can form sentences again (he sounds and looks like he is fighting off Alzheimer’s) Trump could cure cancer and the dems and media would blame him for taking jobs from doctors. When he does something awesome like removing school loan debt for disabled vets we do not hear anything about it.

Hoping my wife will get to return to work next week! I agree with you @E350 it is up to YOU to be ready for hard times. Its the 7 P s man. Proper prior preparation prevents piss poor performance. You save money,keep food in your pantry(isnt that what its for?) Make sure you live within your means and have some basic life skills. This has shown me how underprepared I was, and I take emergency preparation very seriously. i could never have thought that tp would be an unobtainable item,that people would buy up things they did, or that things would be so crazy. I have decided to advance things here so I can be ready for the next time it happens. Hope yall are staying safe. I did get to skip the line today at costco for being a front line worker! The benefits of covid 19. Just have to look to find them!

I truly believe that most of our problems are caused by our bad choices. But that we get multiple opportunities to change our ways. I have known that I needed to be prepared and have somewhat prepared in the past. But never treated things too seriously.
A long time dear client of mine stretched hard to pay me last month. The majority of that payment went to a $4,500 Honda EU7000is generator. So now, when the electricity goes out we will still be able to pump water from our well.
I am not LDS but the two attached documents provide great guidance.

i didnt vote for trump nor am i a dem or republican, nor do i like trump, however i think hes doing a pretty decent job considering all of the garbage from the media and dems. and i definitely agree that there is lots and lots of fake news out there, especially regarding this "pandemic" which seems more to me like a push for globalist agenda, more dependence on gubment, sacrificing freedom for safety, etc than an actual "pandemic."

Question for everyone: So we're all supposed to be staying home, social distancing, staying 6 feet from others, wearing PPE etc, but do any of you notice any reporters, or politicians following that protocol, like on tv???

my Thursday morning rant:

I see the commercials on TV brainwashing people... "shop on line, we'll deliver your car to you". "Touchless pizza delivery". Sanitized this, and disinfected that... all trying to make people roll over and accept this. Now they are talking drones that will watch people outside with the ability to detect not only coughing, but temperature too.

How long will pro teams be able to support payroll with nobody buying tickets to games? Baseball and football in empty stadiums... that sounds fun.

Media reporting all the stupid crap people are doing to work around this... car parades for birthdays, youtube videos pretending they are doing outside activities from their living rooms.

One idiot mayor wants to have lawn signs printed for all high school seniors to celebrate graduation. This same damn mayor will probably, after wasting this money, want a bailout from the federal government to cover the cost of his towns losses from the economic shutdown.

This is all just too much... if people are this afraid, I have one question... where is your faith??? Oh, I forgot, most people have forgotten God these days. Worship ,mini-mansions, 100" TV's, expensive vehicles and other crap that are distractions.

Yes, local news teams in my area are sitting at home or at least 8' apart while on air in the studios. Reporters on the streets are all socially distanced and wearing masks. All local politicians when giving press conferences are socially distancing and wearing masks unless they are speaking at a podium. Probably depends on the severity of the outbreak (though it shouldn't) of where they are reporting from, or on their mental capacity.

No, I'm not talking about that lady there. Should I post a video of someone not licking their finger? Would that strengthen my case? Should I post a video showing how the cases and deaths are underreported? (because I could do that as well...are they true?...who knows, is the one you posted true? again...who knows) Although all I had stated was that in my area, the politicians and news people were following the recommended guidelines.
