Other Virus Nonsense

Wow, yamanube I never saw that coming! I couldn't have found that photo if I tried. I expected an reasoned adult response about why it is good for America to vote Democrat. But, I guess your response is in line with this women who spoke for all Democrats at the 2020 Democrat Convention last night:

The Democratic National Convention on Tuesday featured a panelist who identifies as: “J Mai (they/them) is a Black-Vietnamese, transgender nonbinary/gender transcendent mermaid Queen-King currently living out their ever-evolving truths in Winston-Salem, NC. A recently licensed minister in the Progressive National Baptist Church, J received their Bachelors in Sociology and Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies at Wake Forest University and is currently working towards a Masters in Divinity at Wake Forest University School of Divinity.”

J. Mai siad the following:

“Why can’t folks imagine a world without the cops? Why can’t folks imagine a world without prisons? Why can’t people expand their imaginations to include community care, to include an abolitionist future?” the self-avowed “mermaid Queen-King” said.

J Mai stressed that she was talking about real abolition, not a watered-down version.

“We’re talking about abolishing the police, we’re talking about abolishing ICE, we’re talking about abolishing prisons,” J Mai said.

I guess the Democrat response to deteriorating cities, desperation in the black community addressed by Kim Klacik and the high black homicide rate is just kinky sex stuff.

Along with de-funding the police and closing the prisons.

You can stick with your kinky stuff and vote Democrat.

I will vote Republican. Try my best to follow Christ and traditional American moral values.

I really think you are getting very confused with what a very small portion of the very far left thinks as "all Democrats" and what the majority of Democrats think our country is and should be. It would be like saying every Republican loves trump, hates gays, owns automatic rifles and wants to get rid of every non-white non-christian in the country.
The country didn't collapse into chaos whenever we had a Democrat for president just like it hasn't when we had a Republican, they both have done good things and bad when in office.

I really think the bigger issue is when republicans blame everything bad that is or can happen on democrats as fear mongering and just the same when democrats blame republicans. The vast majority of Democrats are not the axis of evil as you would believe, they are regular americans just like you.

My point of the party you support and the one that is speaking of dnc still stands. The party is gone and you all can't admit it. drop

Edit: democrats do the same thing to a larger extent. Republicans haven't looted in mass in recent history when we don't get our way, let alone had support from politicians to do so because they are "afraid" of police and republicans.

mikidymac: I would agree with you if Trump picks extremists to speak at his convention.

Joe Biden picked this women to speak at his convention.

I believe what people say.

That women was speaking for the entire nation of Democrats.

Because she was chosen to speak and was in fact speaking at the Democrat NATIONAL convention.

I am sure you and I would get along. Not necessarily agree on everything. But that is the Democrat plaform. Pure and simple.

Believe what the say . . .

Because they are saying what they believe . . .

And yes, republican Kim Klacik is blaming the condition of Baltimore on 53 years of Democratic rule. Will you watch the video and tell me what you think?

When people tell me that they will attack my freedom and way of life, I take it personally.

And I take them at their word.

I never thought that nuclear energy would be prohibited in our country or that 2-strokes would be banned or that DEF would be required in diesels or that working as an independent contractor in California would be made illegal, or that mayors would send positive covid-19 patients back to their nursing homes or that city councils and county councils would defund and abandon the police and support rioters and let rioters burn their cities (Portland, OR) night after night, but it all has happened and is continuing to happen. And oh yeah, remember when gas was pushing $5/gallon during the Obama Administration? Now the U.S. is a net exporter of energy including natural gas. The Dem's will ban the pipelines and exploration for and extraction of natural gas on federal lands which in some states are 60% of the state land mass. Yes, I take the Dem's seriously. Why would they say things like that if they didn't mean them?

What do you think of this video. Correct or not?

Do you agree with this video? They are telling you what they want to do.

Please take the Democrats seriously.

Especially if you are a Democrat.

@Big Kahuna would you mind reopening the below thread for these political discussion. Otherwise it could be a long 2 and 1/2 months' diversion for this thread :

That thread as well as this one will turn like two little boys trying to piss further than the other. (thanks Jon)
l definitely like what Trump has done for the economy. But he screwed the middle class on changing the tax codes.l pay much more now than l did previously being self employed. And the social and racial issues he created is tearing this country apart.Been a republican since 18 years old.But l do not claim to belong either party anymore. And NO l do not like Bernie Sanders view points either. So please don’t think that.l’m just completely fed up.
This country needs unity, that’s the only way we will survive. And you can post all the political viewpoints and video crap you want, but in the end it comes to picking the better of two evils.
Trump reminds me of the guy that is always at social gatherings that goes by the mirror and checks himself out.Only interested in himself..
l’ll leave it right here and l’m out on commenting any more on this thread.Going back to my first comment in this post.

Agree to disagree I reckon, I just have a hard time agreeing that Trump has created racial issues and is tearing the country apart when the liberal media has set out to destroy him using any means possible since day 1, yet they're the ones pointing the finger. The hypocrisy from the media and the left is absolutely disgusting and it can be mind boggling how obvious it really is yet many people either just choose to ignore it just dont care. The most laughable yet dispicable thing is black billionaire celebrities such as opera telling me how much "whiteness" gives me an unfair advantage at life because of the pigment in my skin tone, yet shes a black billionaire. Or the atheletes in the nba, mlb, wnba kneeling in front of the flag during the national anthem, fighting racial injustice and inequality while making millions for playing a sport that benefits no one for anything more than entertainment value. but those arent at all divisive actions, trump is the divisive one.

The divide began on January 20, 2009...

Sanoman, and smokey and mikidymac I hope that you continue to communicate your political views, because I don't understand them, and to reduce divisiveness we need to understand each other. To move the communication forward, below are some quotes from economist Milton Friedman which I agree with:

“The great virtue of a free market system is that it does not care what color people are; it does not care what their religion is; it only cares whether they can produce something you want to buy. It is the most effective system we have discovered to enable people who hate one another to deal with one another and help one another.”
― Milton Friedman

“A society that puts equality before freedom will get neither. A society that puts freedom before equality will get a high degree of both.”
― Milton Friedman

“Well first of all, tell me: Is there some society you know that doesn’t run on greed? You think Russia doesn’t run on greed? You think China doesn’t run on greed? What is greed? Of course, none of us are greedy, it’s only the other fellow who’s greedy. The world runs on individuals pursuing their separate interests. The great achievements of civilization have not come from government bureaus. Einstein didn’t construct his theory under order from a bureaucrat. Henry Ford didn’t revolutionize the automobile industry that way. In the only cases in which the masses have escaped from the kind of grinding poverty you’re talking about, the only cases in recorded history, are where they have had capitalism and largely free trade. If you want to know where the masses are worse off, worst off, it’s exactly in the kinds of societies that depart from that. So that the record of history is absolutely crystal clear, that there is no alternative way so far discovered of improving the lot of the ordinary people that can hold a candle to the productive activities that are unleashed by the free-enterprise system.”
― Milton Friedman

“Government has three primary functions. It should provide for military defense of the nation. It should enforce contracts between individuals. It should protect citizens from crimes against themselves or their property. When government-- in pursuit of good intentions tries to rearrange the economy, legislate morality, or help special interests, the cost come in inefficiency, lack of motivation, and loss of freedom. Government should be a referee, not an active player.”
― Milton Friedman

“One of the great mistakes is to judge policies and programs by their intentions rather than their results.”
― Milton Friedman

Some of think this election could affect jet skiing because of things like the Green New Deal which will eliminate combustion engines, etc., etc., etc.
To answer your question about opening that thread. The answer is "Hell No" did not even open it. I dont have to. Since this site started there have been 3 other presidential elections. Guess how many threads have been started and closed relating to politics. Damn near every one of them. Why, because they all go off the rails. So, No, I will not open it. Nor do I want to come to this site and open a thread about this mother flucking virus which kept me from seeing my parents for over 2 months. It kept me from seeing my Dad on the last day he was totally aware of his surroundings (my wife had to go get tested so I had to keep away until we knew she was clear) only to see it morphed into another stupid ass political schidt show. There are other places to go and spill your you left or right views. It is not going to happen.... this is a site about jetskiing. Yes, there is a off topic section here. But history always repeats. I dont come here for this, nor does most everyone else. Please do not PM me asking to reconsider. Also, this reply is not to just one person.... it is to anyone debating their views. Nothing personal.
