A quick ride report before im off to the grind .rode last night ,got a nice "large" plate to plate flatwater roll (felt amazing)possibly the biggest one for me (on flat) up to date .(pegging the stoke meter) but this was just one so far .As its taking some re-calibration for me coming off the G-3 Bob to this hull ,as the Hurricane has a different sweet spot and doesn't pivot off the round bulge like its prediseser .when you do get where it wants to be its Hurricane is all about air time .yesterday i only had maybe a 1/2 hour total ride time ,and i am taking things slow now .because ride number #1 on labor day weekend ,i thought i would try and fly "Her" felling comfortable on big "H" i put the spurs to her and grabbed a handfull, well needless to say i got a quick lesson in respect as my X-Metal- Hurricane set up showed me who was running the game . When my set up wake barrel roll shot me 10+plus in the air but in the backseat ,not in the forward position i needed to be in.so trying to keep the ski under me i turned the nose downward turning it into like a flare thingy ,but quickly noticing i wasn't going to land cleanly since this wasn't the intended move, i almost got my clock cleaned .needless to say people on the beach loved this ! as the semi drunken labor day crowd cheered at me (almost wadding up ),and didn't even realize i was in a "OH poop" mode and probably thought that was what meant to do .at least it was big & explosive and got props from all who saw this ,but for the short term has left me a little gun shy at pulling the trigger until i get a little more familiar with the sweet spot on this hull as well as the new serious upgrade increase in Braapppage im sportin under the hood (respect) ,Lol. It seems as i need to slow down my approach to any tricks and my set up wake's ,line up cleanly ,and utilize the new on tap Braapppage and the light flickable feeling of this hull ,instead of using so much momentum which i would use when running a smaller displacement motor such as my 771 ,Idk. but for me thats what seems to working good thus far .Turning on this hull is great ! and is like hyper responsive when put on its rail ,a super cool feature .but also slides if the bottom is left flat on the water ,so in some ways the best of both worlds .just need to get used to it .turning into your wake can get down right "whippy" once the rail finess is mastered ,cant wait ! well thats it for now ,haven't tried any flips yet but it feels like its ready when i am ! To be continued ........

Hurricane is totally different than the Gen3, and in the best way possible - I know it took me a couple rides to get used to it but man, oh man am I diggin it. With the new XS power under the hood, that thing will be flipping no problem.

Viruses can be problematic. This is the result of a pregnancy gone bad, from a virus.

But, I digress...congrats General BlobToe, on the new arrival!

Well a little update on how things have been going on my Hurricane. I really am enjoying my build ! I must say the Hurricane is a great ride and is satisfying my addiction nicely ! It seems that all that was good about the past generations combined have come to the table in this hull.in my opinion it is so much easier to ride then their past creations .If you are used to being on a short hull ,it is easy to ride this hull aggressively and fast .Super fun with a lot of pop and positive hull to rider feedback.Gone is a lot of the wheelie effect especially noticeable coming off of maneuvers ,it is short mind you, but planes out much easier and nicer than in years past .i have no affiliation with the clinic other than they have been my hull builders/shapers for the last few years giving me nothing but good service ,so my opinion is just merely to spread the word and give recognition of what these guys have really worked hard on over the last few years developing and making changes that have truly evolved in my opinion into something great ! I remember being impressed with the gen 1 innovation ,but thinking to myself i would never ride something like that ,just being a sceptic, man was i wrong .Now i know i will probably never be content on any sort of production hull,go figure.I also like their approach to this hull removing some of the "budget" aspect of their builds and replacing it with better materials and quality control .I think the The Ski Clinic endured a lot in the past from some of the markets first time A/M hull buyers and builders by trying to offer entry level freestyle ski packages to the public .but they did it ! innovating and pioneering the market that has forged the way for others ultimately giving us as consumers better pricing . Well in a nut shell this hull RIPS ! and every time i ride it i am getting great satisfaction . still have some engine tuning to do ,haven't even scratched the surface there yet ,as i'm still just getting aquatinted with my new set up .just some info from my perspective (Remember to check the weather report when in Havasu ,you just never know ???)

IMG_5829.jpgIMG_5795.jpgIMG_5798.jpgIMG_5809.jpgJust to keep this thread going in its true random "off the wall "fashion (we cant change things up now,can we ??? ha,ha) thought i would post up a couple shots of some of the truly exciting action that went down sat night at World Finals .let me tell you to say this was "Off The Chain"is a total under statement for describing Sat nights action ! i mean this could possibly be (in my opinion)the best case scenario in the world for flatwater freestyle viewing , it was truly awesome venue ! just walked in the door a bit a bit ago ,but thought i would share some photos of Ski clinic guys on the water (father, son how awesome !).But to my disappointment my camera was not set on the proper aperture for the night action shots, but i will still share a couple teasers of what you can make out >DK,jr ,and Sr were riding soooo good all weekend ,Props !!!!! site 6 had some freestyle magic going down Fri nights practice after amateurs i will get some of those up as i review them for good ones . check out a couple pics from Sat nights action, Enjoy....... (sorry about the blurry shot of Sr ,i am truly bumbed these photos didn't work out .these guys and others were going Huge! )

That's awesome they aloud night skiing in the canal. You usually would get an instant ticket with anything resembling a wake in there during the day lit alone at night. Looks like a blast!

Jr. got some great air at the freestyle comp on Sunday. I was impressed!
