Custom/Hybrid Vision hulls

Think he is in SF Bay Area.. 7-8 hour drive

It would be cheaper to fly, I just checked Southwest flights LAX to SFO $139 round trip. You could fly up on a Sat morning, the 6th works, ill pick you up and go for ride, spend the night at my house, fly back Sunday morning, I'll transport you to and from airport.

I coming down to SoCal this weekend thru next Friday but I'am picking up a new trailer I bought from another member and visiting with family so bringing my trailer/ski won't work.

I'am not set up to haul it in the bed of my truck, I could build a 2x4 rack and bring the beach dolly and gear but the wife would to go for all that.....

More than happy to help just not sure how.

For what's it's worth I bought my Vision without ever test riding a single aftermarket ski. I went from a dry piped 53 mph limited 96 SJ that I rode for years to a freeride/freestyle build 01 SJ, 9/15 hooker, b-pipe mod chamber, ADA 35cc, -4 poll, Blowsion steering, straight bars, footholds, D cut plate Etc.

I looked at the Vision and other brand hulls, almost bought Brandon Lawlors surf hull, talked with a few more knowledgable people and found a Vision hull was the best fit for me, I didn't want a backflip only boat or a full length heavy Surf boat, I needed something more in the middle but still capable. The -4 Vision encompasses that and was reasonably priced.

Steve always answered the phone, answered all my text msg even while he was at free rides, did everything he said he'd do, when he said he would do it, and built my ski and had it delivered in my hands by the date I needed it!!

Now when I get back on the 01 Rn it feels like such a turd, I'am glad I pulled the trigger and haven't regretted it one bit!

SoCal is a big place where do you live ?

Thanks for the all the info, and a VERY generous offer!

I'm in Temecula/Murrieta area (about 45mins to an hour north of San Diego off the 15 freeway

If you could find a way to stuff it in your truck, that would be awesome, could load up my trailer and head to Oceanside.
I would even offer to pay some of your gas and take you and the wife out to dinner!

If it's just not doable, I'll look into getting down your way.

Thanks again!

Edit to add... If you entertain bringing your ski in the truck, you wouldn't need the beach dolley, gear etc... I have a 2 ski trailer and various carts etc for shuffling... Don't think you would need to build a rack, I brought my SJ home when I bought it in the back of the truck.. Just put it on a couple of packing blankets.. used 2 ratchet straps with a BUNCH of padding on the top and these nifty things I built(I borrowed heavily from FR innovations) for the rear.... I could send them to you lol.

Clean ski and I like those things you made for ski hauling to protect the turf from going flat.

Generous offers as well there thank you.

Now, Yet another kink, the trailers tongue is too short to tow with the gate down, and it's a short bed truck, so ski nose down and tail up with gate closed? This is not how I tow and my ski is still In new condition, So with everything considered Iam going to pass on bring the ski down on this trip. On this short notice and with what I've already got to accomplish and the holiday it would be to much.

Hope you understand. My offer still stands to both @Informal and @CD155MX

Oakland airport or Sacriamento as opposed to SF might be cheaper still, not sure on John Wayne or Ontario since they maybe closer to you than LAX

Morning flights looked the cheapest both ways, let me know when's good for you guy. :)
