Wanting opinion on superjet

I heard one of the local riders saying the new group of guys is the fourth generation of standup riders we have had in the past 30 years. It is probably unrealistic to expect every new rider to have much of an end game beyond selling their ski as soon as their interest wanes.

Thank you for all your replies. I want to say that I understand that i will be working on. I have two 2 stroke seadoos. I am not against a project at all if I can get them for a good deal.

I find this post, along with 90% of your other posts freaking hilarious.
What gen. am I lol?

OP - I started with a 440 and have since owned every oem model and ridden just about else everything out there- race, freestyle, freeride, carbon this, HFC that blah blah. If you asked me which one I want to ride today? I would tell you whatever is on the trailer

Riding jet skis are fun, buy something reliable and get your money's worth out of it.

that being said i just built a square from the ground up for my wife. the hull was junked but, free. I spent about 7k and 150 man hours when it was all said and done, but ended up with something decent. The 7K included rrp pole, destoyers, bpipe, and a fresh engine. I did have a few parts in reserve that helped move things along tho

Well what exactly do you think is happening? Most new guys buy a ski and then sell it once they get their kicks. Very few stick around 10 years let alone 30+ and most skis for sale are riddled with aftermarket parts, for better or worse. They officially "dont make these things anymore".

You would have better luck finding and marrying a 30 year old smoking hot virgin woman who was saving herself for the right man than finding an un touched SN or RN these days.

And if you do they are going for the same price as the SN with a hack job motor (or more) than the ski OP is asking about. Today the seller wants the money back for his aftermarket mods. (Even if they suck)

I just think we all need to take a step back and realize today's price points aren't going away any time soon, if ever.

And to OP, SN vs RN...who cares at this point. The bottom decks are the same. The rn top deck has all the "cool parts" that bolt right up. At the same time one of the most popular rn mods was to run a lowered poll bracket to make it feel like an SN. Go figure.

For that SN I'd say hard pass at 3k. For 2.3k I'd do it. Talk to him and see if he would come down. Not a fan of the Frankenstein motor. Realize though most solid superjets you come across will cost at least that price nowadays. That's just my 2 cents

One thing young people lack most is patience. Getting an overpriced junker may be the best option for anyone who is just going to ride a few times and dump the hobby after a season. For longer term guys starting with a bare hull, hood, and pole is a better deal. Even if its {heaven forbid} an old Kawasaki.

I have a nice 92’ 750SX I was about to list for sale soon. Keep your eyes out on the for sale section here, lots of good deals on skis and it’s pretty easy to tell who is legit and who is a scammer.

theyre out there, just keep checking the barns

In my barn, I have two Sn's. One of them is a stock 1990 - 650. Only thing not original is the battery. It is slow. I call it my rocking chair Superjet. LOL. Still a few original Superjets around hiding in barns.
