Wanting to buy first stand up jetski, things to look out for?

If it says it needs the carb cleaned just don't buy it. I'd say get the cleanest ski you can for your price range no matter what kind (440,550,650, or superjet) as long as you're on the water and not the wrench, you'll be having fun!!

Out of those two I would take the superjet. a pole isn't that bad to replace. take it for a ride before you buy if you can.

Some states don't require a title. Your state may be one of those. Check into that
 
Mine definitely requires a tite, which is why not having one scares me a little. I can get a salvage title but if I remember correcty, that's a $400 process. And water patrol does check for current licenses where we are. The year we bought our sit down jetski, they pulled friends/family over three times in the two weeks it took me to get it relicensed in my name.
