Water coming in somewhere.... RRP pipe??

well, I pressure tested the cooling and no leaks... so it's got to be the exhaust... I rejetted from 120 to 80 in sprayer, turned waterbox around (i had it it backwards but backwards made the most sense when you look inside. I also raised the box up about 2" off the bottom. I have considered a flapper and may still do that as this is a silly thing to deal with. This is my first lay down pipe and I had not even thought about it backing up. anyone got pics of their flapper? Im sure I can just buy one from an old Kawi but would like to see what yall did
Do you have an exhaust tube sticking out the back of your ski or is it flush with the hull?

This is how it looks inside... So having it backwards brought the water level high and helped run water into your pipe

How could you even put it in backwards? Isn't the inlet 2" and outlet 2.5" plus the injection fitting has to go on top of the box.

from the picture harbor posted the waterbox fitting should be facing the inside of the hull and towards the rear. How did you get it to be in the front ? Wouldn't that make it face the out side of the hull?

I'm designing an internal one but this is the ugly one we have been running temporarily

the fitting isn't installed via RRP... they picture it as the fitting facing backward but on the front of the box... I turned it 180* so the fitting was on the back of the box... I just pulled it out and turned it around.. the box is now as the instruction from RRP show it.... hopefully it works...

I think there is some confusion going on here.

Back meaning rear of ski or stern
Front meaning front of ski or bow

I don't think they are talking about direction of flow @krenn

if this pic is correct and the font of the box is on the right side in the pic, that's how I now have it..... so confusing as that seems like it was keep more water in than let water out...

the way this pic is, is how I had it but the fitting was in the back (left on your pic) instead of the front of the box...

Install your box just like mine is, you can rotate the 3/8 fitting any way you want, but the bung its screwed into needs to be located where mine is... Away from the hull side wall and on the inside near the engine... Hopefully the pic makes sense... And you may have had correct, you'll know

This might help, it shows the internals of the box, you can look into yours and see which is which but the bung is near the outlet pipe that connects to bulkhead
