Water Spots!!!

I use the bathroom cleaner "Scrubbing Bubbles" after each ride. Spray it on, let it sit a few min, hose it off with clean water, then dry. Does a pretty good job.

Thought about it, but don't because the oversized mud puddles they call lakes in Nebraska are so dirty. My ski is usually covered in nasty water with all sorts of poop I don't want to rub into the paint. I have a black truck and a black Camaro too so that's probably part of why I'm weird about the paint on this thing lol.

Nebraska is 3/4 sand, you must live in the muddy corner..Haha, thats where Im originally from is Lincoln and Beatrice.

Lincoln pretty much all my life actually lol. Branched Oak and Pawnee are the main lakes we go to that are close and you can't see more than 12" into the water. Lake McConaughy and Fremont lakes aren't as bad.

Graduated SE high 96, live in CO now but we used to race in Holmes lake!!, talk about water spots, that water was like chocolate milk during our motos

I've been a terrible ski owner this year. Haven't washed or waxed my ski once. Decided today was the day. After I washed it I was horrified at how many water spots I had. I decided to use meguiars water spot removal. It took FOREVER to get them off but it did work as you can see. I'll be washing and waxing more often now lol.

I've never had issues with water spots. I wax it one or two times per year. The key for me is as soon as i pull it out of the water i dry it with a towel.....simple and quick.

Your ski must not be black :) last summer I waxed my ski every two weeks and still struggled with them...

I tried hot sauce thanks to you guys. Wow, am I impressed! It takes off 95% of them and is super quick to use. You can see the difference between my handle pole and nose of my ski in the pic below. My pole only took about ten seconds to do.

I'll still use meguires at the end of the season to the the real stuck on spots off but throughout the season I'll be using the hot sauce after every ride. Thanks fellas!

after reading this I picked up some hot sauce it works great View attachment 315866 View attachment 315867

WOW that came out really good. I was thinking if that was my ski I would have pulled out the buffer. I will have to try that HOT SAUCE. Usually I go a few weeks or months depending what ski I am riding and take it down to the detail shop I work at and go over with a foam pad on a hand held buffer. Now that I will be going to a black ski again I will not be as lucky as to let it go as long. Do you guys just spray the sauce on a wipe off a few moments later or do you need to rub it in as if you were waxing and then rub it off with a clean towel? Looks like a great product!
