Hello, I would like to know how to proceed, when I want to make mods on my waterbox in SXR 800.
If somebody have pics and "how to" it will be great.

Ive done it...if it gains power i don't know! because I've done lots of mods to my sxr but the sound i love it and not to loud...

Thx for the answer. If I drill holes like this, I hope will be fine. I don't need to gain more power, if will be some hp + will be great, but I want little more noisy sound...
On some others forums I read, they cut everything from inside, but I'm afraid of this mod ;-)

OK, @MTRHEAD you don't recommended this modification?
If it don't have any effect to my speed it doesn't matter, if is just for sound effect... but if I will go slower that's no good mod for me.
My ski is KAWASAKI SXR 800, factory wet pipe, flame arrestors, ride plate a hook plate /not sure if in english is good name/.

if you make your OEM waterbox more free flowing with all those holes, with your motor combination, it will go slower. You will loose RPM.

If you make those mods you will achieve the following: More noise, the feeling of more initial hit, maybe a touch more low low end, and less top speed. You can recover the top speed by sleeving your b-pipe down but then you will trade off other things.

Not a good idea for your setup.

Atp dos the same only to loud for recreational use...its funny that always when someone asks this mod...somebody is telling u not to beqause bla bla bla....and that are usually the people who are searching for the 1 mph gain...the sounds is better gain or no gain and what if the loudness is creating a imaginary thought of more kick :) nothing wrong with that haha

If I loose just little bit of speed/power that is no reason why don't do it... It is funny here on forum is two "camps" of people - some of them is for mod and the second half don't.
Maybe I try it through weekend if have enough time and then can write results. Now I must figure how to take waterbox out, because what I read, it is not easy way.. Thanx
