Must be a Craftsman vise. Mine broke the jaw plates the same way. Sears won't replace them either

those tunnels are custom made and facilitate water exit right thru the pump area

Here's a compression test I did on the exhaust cut out. After being clamped in the very ugly vice for about a minute, the piece came out intact, without a single stress crack .:fing02:
