Stand up or Shut up!
It repeats itself over and over and over, ever since he first started. Promises have been made and broken many times. It's nothing new and not surprising. The problems mentioned in this thread (and many others before it) have come to be expected when dealing with WDK, however small of a percentage they may be.
Certain companies have certain reputations. Some people bitch about some company's shipping cost, messing up of orders, price of product, etc.
And yet, only WDK has a persistent reputation of not delivering on time, not delivering at all, lying to customers, not answering phones or emails at all. Why is it that no other company is known for that?
I might have believed the "conspiracy" angle after the first couple of issues. In the early days, Sub did much to discredit WDK critics by being the most fervent one.
However, after hearing/reading it over and over and over, I wonder if there really is a systematic problem here with WDK. Hummm, I don't know that there is enough evidence yet to support this conclusion.

I have a question: Why does discussing this issue upset you?

EDIT: I should add this: I am happy for all his customers that are satisfied with his products. I myself have WDK footholds on my ski that I like. I am not dogging his products. He offers relatively low-priced alternatives in a world of expensive jetski parts. I think you get what you pay for, at a pretty big risk, but that's to be expected.

Well said. I agree 100%

I forgot: I also have a WDK hood that isn't all that great. It doesn't fit right and has cracks. I have no problem with these issues, as I paid only $300 for it and expected to "get what I paid for".

It is what it is, WDK is known for 2 things: new & invintive PWC products at great prices and a Freaking horrid customer satisfaction history.

Jeff's probably somewhere working so he can eat regularly. There just is not enough money to be made on the speciality items he has manufactured. That's probably the reason he's getting in over his head sometimes. I;ve ordered from him 3 times (hull, pole, tank, intake, exhaust, hood) - each time items were shipped right away! It's a shame there are issues with moneys not being returned, I hope that can and will be straightened out eventually. Compared to some purveyors of fine aftermarket equipment, Jeff has certainly been a trailblazer of innovative products. Leasing machine shop equipment or farming things out to someone who does is very expensive, that is probably were things went wrong.

I agree about working to put food on the table. If that is what he is doing, then that is great. If that is the cause for not getting people their parts, then he needs to make a decision. Is he gonna be in the fabrication business of making and selling jetski parts or is he going to punch a clock and bring home a check each week.

i have seen these thread time and time again. I have a second hand Diablo hood that could use some work , but for the price i couldnt come close.

I have been seriously considering building an F1pro. Is it worth the wait? Or should i just save up more and go XFT?

No - do not give WDK a dime.

Plus he does not take Credit Card's anymore. Unless he will accept PayPal, how else will you be able to take recourse if things go sour?

Many other hull builders with good reputations you should be seeking out.

You answered your own question, did you not?

Ultimately, it's an individual decision if it's "worth the wait" (or the hassle).
Nobody can decide that for you.

i have been looking at the REV hull and reading these threads makes me very nervous...

i have ordered from jeff before, pole bracket, hood latches and foot holds and had zero issues...

i have also emailed with him over the last few weeks with questions he gets back to me in a couple of days

have to say im now considering the Trinity Matrix although the GP is heavier than the REV

haha that WAS hilarious Mark! I didn't put too much thought into my post and it shows. I guess i should just forget the F1pro.

I own a number of WDK products second hand and they are nice.

Trinity Matrix sounds nice!

For me the worst part about getting screwed over by Jeff was not so much the money(only about $75 worth of parts), It was the freaking lies. He would lie right to your face(over the phone) about shipping. He told me several times over the course of a couple weeks that my hull had shipped already even though he hadn't even taken it to the shipper yet. Then he kept telling the rest of my parts were on the way, more lies. I just gave up.

also, his stuff is not that great, it is ok but not great ,imo, like some people say

ive been waiting almost two month for my envy hull. ive gotten the shipper excuse, and now go figure he fell off the planet. he makes great stories, but im pretty sure thats not what i orderd. did you know it only cost $500 to visit jeff in corvallis or albany 10 minutes apart. maybe he thinks the s&h was for me to pick it up.
