Put an Xmetal handpole on it, IMO that is the only way to keep it looking sleek. Why did you not have the hood/hull channeled for the pole?

I did not know about that until after I got this one and he could not have done that w/ prepreg. Channeling the hood is just a insert that he puts in the mold, but it is not made for prepreg. I would almost rather have a a glass version that is channeled........almost :Banane35: I am going to run the billet rev handlepole on this hull. I don't want to spend anymore money on ski stuff for a while. I think I will get this together and just ride.

Back from getting cleared. It is pretty rough. The guy did 7 layers of clear and it is orange peel city!!! :smashfreakB: I have been knocking it down for hours. 400 grit to 600 to 1000 to 2000. Looking better but still so so IMO. Once it dries I will start buffing w/ different compounds.

Shouldn't you be working on some rails at the zoo about now?

Watch the news, our plant is the one that had the fire/hazmat situation last night.

Who sprayed it?

I did the same thing with the clear and spent days wet sanding it. I wouldnt bother with the bottom though. The first time I had my new hull in the water, all the clear came off in about 3 minutes of riding. It only came off below the bond line:261:. The base coat stayed on perfect and all the clear has been fine on the top deck.

Yeah, Im not worried about the bottom. I am going to smooth out the pump intake but thats it. I really need it recleared on one side of the hood. You can still feel the carbon weave and I can't sand that much w/o breaking through. I will do that at a later date.....I want to get this on the water

use duratec highgloss clear.ive used it on carbon appearence and fills the weave turns out as if it were sprayed in the mold before carbon was laid down
