I totally agree with you Chad. Last year in October the waves were usually around the 3 to 5 foot range. Also not as many people go camping in the fall because of the colder weather. The water temp isn't to bad either.

I vote that next year we have it later.....October we are more likely to get nice waves and the people at the campground will probably be more laid back.

Chad

Maybe we should get something else together for an October ride. I know some peeps who know some peeps, who just might know the right people. Maybe, i think.

hah, I usually ride mid may to early november on superior, those early and later months pretty sparingly, lookin for waves in the end of the year and hot days now.

"WAVE RAVE 2008 to be held August 22, 23, 24, 2008
Location to be disclosed. We may be relocating for 2008 due to the townships' disliking our lifestyle. I will be working with the township to see if we can figure something out."

Same location? 'm not scared of those steps.

20min by car. by water it depends on what type of craft. standup probably about 30-35min. 70+mph boat, well, 10min or so.

there really isn't any "destination" in silver lake on the water though, no harbor, channel, major beach, etc except for the ORV beach and the lighthouse.
