For a few years now.

Darkwater and myself will be posting the camp site rules
As per the townships request for us to camp at their park.

Last year from my point of view we as a group did not follow the parks posted rules from their web site.
And very well could have been asked not to return.

And most important this is a open forum in which the township, camp directors and other are reading our topics.

I'm reminding the jet ski community this since others will be posting and contributing important information .

this is the park .
http://www.michigan.org/property/claybanks-township-park/ the ride area is on the beach below the park cant miss it ,there's always 60 skis sitting there, the launch area is 1-2 miles north of the park launch your ski and take it to the beach then catch a ride back to PU your car and trailer ...........thats how everybody does it . no maps needed just get there and you'll see :)

I called them today, i think they get busy, just keep trying. I got threw at 2. I cant make it to this event date but checked into a september date so a few of us are going head there for some fall waves. I'll post a date when i get it. Just in case yall want to do it again.

Lou, good reminder that we need to go cautiously down stony creek. There are families tubing and swimming in that creek. We need to respect them. Also it gets real shallow and there are some nice rocks so be careful there too.

Wave Rave '13 is about to become an Event !
As I disclaimed earlier others will be posting .
I started the thread for our late great Bruins.
Now the original alumni will posting on how they are going to make 2013 new.

Most likely we will do most of the activities during the day on Saturday, but nothing set in stone yet.

A significant amount of the proceeds will be going to charity.
Any contributions would be greatly appreciated!

CAMP SITES are filling up fast as some of you may have noticed. Lets not forget what riding is all about and help our fellow riders that didn't make the cut for there own site.
I know that many people reserve multiple sites for friends or back ups. We don't want to leave anybody out! if your not able to get a site please PM one of us and we will help you out the best we can. You may also find it helpful if you find yourself in that situation to visit Lakes Area Freeriders on Facebook and put a :):):):):):) out for camp site help.

Let me start by thanking everyone who has helped with wave rave 2013! Many great guys are stepping up to keep this event going in the right direction.
I have a little bit of info for all to read about this years wave rave. I have been in contact with Jack and Jan, the Claybanks park managers, for a while now. For those of you who don't already know, last year got a little out of hand. Let me start by stressing the fact that this is a DRY county, meaning no alcohol... Second we need to stay SOUTH of the steps, we are not the only ones enjoying the water, please be sure we are not beaching on the neighbors private property!
For the readers who weren't there, nothing major happened, just a lot of shouting, "WAVE RAVE" was a favorite, the occasional 4 am bull horn, and a little bit of disrespect for authority.
Jack and Jan have asked me to pass on the following to all of us that would like to keep Wave Rave alive!!

Park last year
Jan and I would like to welcome you back this year. Unfortunately, it is too bad
that 1 or 2 percent of bad apples can spoil the whole barrel. We were really
impressed with the group the first two years you were here and bragged the
group up at the township meeting.
Unfortunately last year was not so nice to say the least. We will just say a repeat
of last will be your last year. We sincerely hope it does not come to that as we
have enjoyed having the group in the past. The ball is now in your court. What
you do with it is up to all of you . When you arrive this year we will welcome you
with open arms . Let's hope you leave with smiles on EVERYONES faces.
On a lighter note, will every skier PLEASE stay South of the stairs going to the
beach to show courtesy to other beach goers.

OK now to the fun stuff!!
F.M.K. has already said in the post above, they will be bringing some food, Raffles, and awards.

T3 will be sponsoring some great giveaways! And as always helping everyone with anything. Haha

DWI will be breaking, blowing up or losing parts that no one has extra, and then getting a nice tan!!

So polish up your skis and your skills, and wish and pray for some braggable swells!

Joe, is it a requirement to polish my ski? Cuz it actually says turd in the tray of my surf ski. Funny thing is deceiving bc grab a handful of throttle and it will scoot the poop right outta ya.

Look forward to seeing everyone again. I am in site 26 or 27 one of the non electric. I called at like 6-7 tonight and reserved a site no problem.

Let's work to impress on everyone there what a good crew we are.
