i remember seeing this thread when i first got a ski...seeing pics of joe RIPPING were what made me want to ride

i also remember being at the first surf slam at pismo...i had only been riding for a month or so and was pretty unimpressed watching the guys ride until i saw TC and JK in their heats...they are on a whole different level..watching them that day was what made me realize the potential for waveriding a standup and get into it as much as i did
