but the .50 BMG is 12.5mm and would destroy your 1mm T6 plate.
Unless a 38mm can go thru a 1 inch T6 aluminium plate then I don't think so...boss!!
Fix your numbers guys, a .38 bullet is probably not going through 25.6mm of T6 aluminum.

itd probably dent or crack it at supersonic speeds. but, who cares? any meatball shooting at a 10mm stroker lamey is a turd whos opinion doesnt count.
the point is that youre not relying on epoxy. youre relying on a thickass aluminum plate that is ahelluvalot stronger than the cast 6m6 lower case half.
Are those steel bolts holding the cyl to the cases? I guess stainless will corrode the aluminum?
Unfortunately stainless bolts are not available that long in fine thread metric. I wish, I looked around. At least I was unable to find them.
Steel bolts have a better tensile strength than stainless bolts anyway.

I'm sure whoever is going to run this kind of set will probably maintain and keep it inside away form the elements
I agree, steel is much stronger and can be torques higher
Maybe a zinc coated bolt for us salt water guys?
Awesome!
I will check into it.

If i am not mistaken ARP can make bolts to your specs too
