Thanks guys, definitely missing out on some sleap but it's totally worth it.

Bought a couple pairs of those 82mm prox pistons floating around here and yet another set of carbs (was originally going to try and run it on 38s to start off) so now it will be 718, ported 62t cases, protec cylinder, dual 46s and an ADA head.

Congrats. I have a 5 month old now and I get to work on my ski about 30 minutes at a time. START A SLEEPING SCHEDULE ASAP!! I had my son sleeping in his crib and sleeping 6 hours at night by 2 and a half months old. He sleeps from about 10:00 pm to7:30am now and he's teething. I have friends with 9months olds and some with 3 year olds and their kids still crawl in bed with em because they let em sleep with them so long. Enjoy

6month old here and he's still not sleeping through the night. He has been sick a handful of times with breathing issues so my wife would pull him into bed with us to monitor him. He will usually sleep from 8:30 ish to about 4am in his crib. I agree though it is totally worth it.

if theres issues, and youre concerned about being able to get to him quickly and keeping an ear on him, i can completely understand. My friends and my sister just let them crawl in the bed with them because the kids didnt want to sleep by themselves or they were fussy, now my sisters really paying for it and she hardly sleeps because my nephew squirms all night in their bed. its worth it now to lose a little sleep and put up a fight to keep them in their crib. the way we did it was we moved his pack and play out of our room into the living room, he was still close and felt comfortable in his pack and play. then after that went well we moved him to his room but still in his pack and play, then after he got used to his room we moved him into his crib. he wakes up once or twice for his pacifier, but he instantly falls back asleep when you give it back to him.

Yup a 30 second back rub and a pacifier usually does the trick, now if the Dr.s could figure out why he's having such a hard time with wheezing we would be set.

I hate the way this thread is going, I hate working on Waterdawg hulls more. PVC exhaust tube is finally out and it looks terrible, all of the pump and rideplate inserts were rusted steel and not bonded to the hull and this all the progress I have made by memorial day.

Looks like my rebuild progress. List just keep growing. Hang in there and don't rush. Nothing worse than having to do it twice.
Thanks, starting to get a bit discouraged, time has been tight, just wrapping up 3 mini build/repairs for local riders so I might have some consecutive time to work on it now. Wishing I just had a superjet.

I ordered new OEM rideplate and pump hull inserts today to replace the steel pieces, hope to get some work done and at least be able to slide the exhaust tube into the hull this weekend and hopefully figure out what to do with the one way valve. Being optimistic I hope to have the rear of the hull close to ready to fiberglass back together, and order a crank. I piled up my engine parts and think I have everything except the crank and having the cylinder bored.

Cut, ground and chipped my way to an aluminum exhaust tube. Lost a bit of my right foothold though. OEM inserts came in, glued them in with epoxy resin, cabosil and chopped strand covered in a layer of S glass.

The work I had to do to this hull was really getting me down and I was getting discouraged and procrastinating on it to the point where I wasn't even sure if I was going to ride this season. My wife could tell I was in a funk so she made it the best (and first) father's day and gave me the greenlight to buy a new (to me) hull that can just be assembled under the conditions I fix this eventually and sell it. Sooooo....I will start a new build thread soon but this came home yesterday.

I said goodbye to my favorite ski ever and am jumping back into this build.
Planning on a relatively low budget build but after coming off of a really nice ski, there are some compromises I just don't want to make so progress might be a bit slow as I buy the parts I need as I have the cash available.

Decided to go with an Xmetal pole on this one, it just fit the style of the hull better, adding a WDK steering system to that. Engine will be a home ported 718 62t cylinder on ported 61x cases, mod B pipe and single 44. Two parts I am very excited for, stock gas tank and stock waterbox, long range and quiet!

I ended up cutting the entire engine bed out of mine it was soo bad. I'm just going to glass new engine mounts in with some more bottom reinforcement. I found a build in the archives here of a guy completely redoing his x jet hull. He had the same problems we all have with the x-jet hull
