Weigh in?

What do all these after market hulls/boats/motor combinations really weigh?

Maybe someone should bring a scale to Daytona this year? That Friday at the Flatwater Clin. should be awsome for everyone to try out all the different setups.... I would like to know what they all weigh, and feel out how all the different boats compare... pull on the sides with the hood off to feel the strength, and that sort of thing.

Anyone got a scale they could bring.?

I will start the trash talk.... I will have the lightest and one of the strongest OEM Superjet hull boat at Daytona. :drive: And completely custom, new ideas, and hope to pull off a unseen trick to the Jetski World.

I think this would be cool :fing02:..... and very interesting!

I can help you with the scale. I have 300 lb max. certified scales at work I could borrow for the weekend. I also have an electronic pallet scale, it would have to go on a trailer though.

Sweet Rob! :thewave:.... anything over 300lbs would just be embarrassing. lol.... I hope everyone is in for it!

honestly I dont think so......

it NEVER felt heavy in the water.....just deadlifting it out of the truck

besides, I dont ride lakes....so the extra weight is not as much of an issue as I may have thought 8 months ago....

To each his own... I dont see how people can ride even a full weight none reinforced limited setup... I cant throw one around for anything anymore... just so use to the light weight of my ski... Lighter ski's catch sweeter air... some day you will understand. :fart:

You must relise we have two totally different riding styles as well..... most everything I do is WFO off the lip... I need all the boat control I can get when Im 15+ ft off the top of a wave... the only way to do that is by riding a lighter boat, that I can throw around easier, and use body english.

Maybe your right, my riding has nothing to do with my boat.... I guess Im all skill :spankme:

Lets get back on topic....

Trinity is in for the Weigh in.

Waterdawg?

WCF?

EME?

Any one in for it? Or is Idok right, weight doesnt matter?

No more claims... but them on the Scale!... Another thing to think about is will all these boats be ready for the surf????

I have 4x.. sets 62t cases
4x.. 61x cylinders
3x... electronics

Believe me, losing a Waterdawg hood, sinking my ski, having seashells in my motor will not stop me from being ready at Daytona... Maybe if you ever tried going big, you would no what it is like to have some carnage every now and then ..... my hull is still tits! I should be ready to ride next weekend.

dude, your boat was NOT surf ready from the gitgo........

and Im not talking about losing your hood....which you wouldnt have had you been prepared

-no hood latch
-no f/a's--that bull********e tupperware might keep a SOME of the water out, but the sludge that coated the inside of it says different--ever seen a motor backfire thru the carbs?
-no bilges (stock or electric)
-no chinpad
-a worthless hoodseal
-no tow loops (until I gave them to you)

weight DOES matter....but not as much in the surf

there is more to life than "going big"

you put others in danger this weekend by your lack of preparedness......Need I mention riding with no life jacket or helmet???

call me a dick, but in this case Im right!

OK, so can we put this thread back on topic.

Its not the first time someone sunk a ski, and it wont be the last.... Thanks to Waterdawg I will have a latch next time in the surf (10 months later).... I rode one moto Sat. with no jacket because I left mine at Sebastain after loading up to come ride with you guys.... Of course Im not gona sit on the beach after driving 2.5hrs to go ride with you guys.... Sunday I had all gear... My hood straps failed on a big bail... screw a chin pad, that cost $, that has never been a issue to me....I have a scupper, i bildge would have done nothing! I lost my hood, and then a 6ft wave crashed on my ski.... It would have happened all the same if any one lost there hood.... Shiet happens... Live and learn.... next time I will just stay local and ride by myself.

But that was awsome of Ewok, I felt horrible.

And I wore a hlmet all weekend... if your gona call me out, get your facts straight.

Hey man, not sayin' I dont like riding with ya.......

I just dont like to have to worry about safety when Im out there.....there are certain things that an ocean boat MUST have

like it or not, 9/10 experienced surf riders would tell you that ski was not: "surf ready"

and I will call anyone out on that....am, pro or average joe......You can ask Ewok about that one! :tapedshut:
